To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to recommend Lindsey Kirk for a teaching position at your school. I have
worked as Lindseys mentor for the past year and have nothing but positive things to
say about her teaching abilities. Lindsey has been teaching a fifth grade class at West
Valley Elementary during her intern year.

Ms. Kirks class was a challenging one with many struggling students and even a
student with autism. She quickly found her style and has needed very little help from
this year. She has bonded well with her students and her classroom community is
warm and safe and encouraging. Her students are progressing because they know
she cares and because she believes in them. As a result, they are now believing in
themselves. She has a style and personality that make her students love her and love
school.

Ms. Kirk knows the CORE very well and does everything in her power to help make it
understandable, useful, and fun. Her classroom management is amazing. Her class
can be discussing in small groups, and in a few seconds, be quietly listening again.
She demonstrates all of the Big Eight in her teaching. She is already demonstrating
strong leadership skills on her grade level as they meet in PLCs, plan activities, and go
on field trips.

Lindsey would be a strong addition to your faculty. I have no hesitations at all in

recommending her. We wish she could be a permanent member of our faculty. Please
