Malaysia. I feel grateful to visit Malacca because it offer
a lot amazing places. Travelling to Malacca is fun because we can taste different foods, visit historical places, and discover new culture.
I was lucky because one of my friends that grew up
in Malaccca was willing to accompany me. So, this made the trip to be more interesting and easier for me to visit places in Malacca. I was interested to start the trip by visiting the Portuguese church. It is 17th- century Portuguese church, which has only its wall remaining. In the church, I was shocked that there were many stone tablets and it was shocking to touch things that were very old.
If Kuala Lumpur is an example of Malaysias vision
for the future, Malacca is surely a gatekeeper of the past. Today, there are many historical sites that amazed us and it was amazing experience for me. I visited the Porta de Santiago or known as AFamosa which was a famous historical site built by the Portuguese as a fortress in 1511. Unfortunetly, The Dutch destroyed most of the fort and the remaining todays was saved by Sir Stamford Raffles in 1810. Now, AFamosa is more than just quick photo stop opportunity for tourists.
Besides that, Malacca Wonderland Theme Park &
Resort is the best way to cool down on a hot and sticky day in Malacca after having an exhausted trip. It is one of the Malaccas tourist attraction which is built in Ayer Keroh. The main highlights of this theme park was its multi zone park where high-speed water slides and thrill ride. We were thrilled to try all the water games activities. It was a thrilling moment since I have never tried any of this type of games before. We enjoyed all the games and had enjoying moment together.
Malacca is well-known for its baba & nyonya spicy
cooking style. There are a lot of baba & nyonya restaurants that serve mouth-watering foods. It was the most exciting food hunting moment for me and was excited because i got the chance to try different type of foods here such as Satay Celup, Chicken Rice Ball, Nyonya Laksa, Fried Oyster Omelet, Portuguese Grill Fish , Fishball Lobak, Chicken Pongteh, and Cencalok. There is no other word to describe Malaccas food except for delicious and yummy. The Taming Sari Tower is the first and only gyro tower in Malaysia so far. It is located in the popular district of Bandar Hilir at Malacca. The tower was named after the Taming Sari a mythical weapon belonging to the legendary Malay warrior, Hang Tuah. We can see a sprawling view of Malacca as far as the eye can see when we reached at the top of the tower. Then we went to Buddhist and Chinese Hokkien temples. I also managed to get some fantastic and beautiful as a remembrance souvenirs.
Malacca is a great town, certainly the cradle of
Malaysias rich history and I really enjoyed it. Besides of historical places in Malacca, there are others places to discover and have fun. There are more to see and experience here, so I wish to return again with my family.
