Como parte de las actividades extra curriculares de

nuestra escuela, la escuela cuenta con varios clubes y

organizaciones estudiantiles que buscan el desarrollo
de los estudiantes en diferentes reas. Algunos de estos
son:
Surfing Through Life

Club en el cual pueden participar estudiantes desde

7mo a 12mo grado. La organizacin busca el desarrollo
de liderazgo y valores. Su logo simboliza el balancearse
"surfear" atravs de la vida y problemas.

I Can Do It
Club en el cual participan estudiantes de la es-
cuela elemental, desde 1ro a 4to grado. Busca
formar un balance en el comportamiento y fo-
mentar la buena toma de decisiones en los inte-
grantes.

Club R.E.C.A. Recicla. Educa. Compromiso Ambiental.

Es un programa creado y auspiciado por el Municipio Autnomo
de Cidra para implementar y fomentar el reciclaje en las escuelas
que as lo soliciten del municipio. El programa exige que el club lo
integren estudiantes desde el 5to a 12mo grado y que mnimo ten-
gan 3 maestros consejeros. La funcin de los integrantes del club
consiste en orientar a toda la comunidad escolar sobre la impor-
tancia del reciclaje y vigilar que los contenedores que provee el
municipio para el reciclaje de plstico y papel no se contamine con
otros materiales, adems los integrantes del club RECA adquieren
horas de contacto verde las cuales son requisitos de graduacin.

Alrededor del mundo encontramos la
belleza de la diversidad de culturas,
entre ellos los distintos idiomas. El idi-
oma ha sido y ser siendo prueba del
trasfondo bsico de las comunica-
ciones y el desarrollo universal. Por tal
razn, cabe destacar que de l depen-
demos y es nuestra fuente bsica de
expresin verbal.
As como el idioma ingles es prueba
de la relacin entre muchos pases, el
idioma portugus y el idioma francs
son parte de este desarrollo. Ambos
idiomas portugus y francs, compart-
en el hecho de ser lenguas romances.
Los mismos forman parte de la expan-
sin de las lenguas extranjeras. As
que, estos han influenciado de manera
difundida caractersticas tpicas de sus
parlamentos.
En ocasiones, nos topamos con ciertas
palabras en nuestro platicar que llevan en-
vueltas otros trminos fuera del espaol o
ingles. Por ejemplo cuando decimos bon
apptit nos referimos a buen provecho aun
cuando estamos utilizando el dialecto espa-
ol; pero a su vez incorporando el idioma
francs. Estas y otras palabras como
bonjour (buen da) o merci (gracias)
son muy reconocidas. En relacin al portu-
gus, puede surgir la ocasin donde diga-
mos tchau! (Adis) para despedirnos o
talvez refirindonos a, a lo mejor.
Comparando los idiomas, el portugus es
muy parecido al espaol al igual que desde
el espaol se puede llegar a entender el
francs una vez rebuscado. Como muchas
veces nos ocurre, sin estar consientes cam-
biamos nuestro vocabulario con otras
palabras que escuchamos y as mismo las
aplicamos en cadena. Estando al tanto de la
manera en que verbalizamos, podemos
llevar a cabo un cambio dentro de nuestro
hablar y formar parte de la expansin lxi-
ca.

good, but there have been cases where
technology has fallen into the wrong hands.
Here we have the case of facial recognition
technology. This great technological ad-
vancement has many great advantages,
same goes for disadvantages. It has been
around for a super long time, but it has only
recently been brought to the potential in
which it can be used for more serious busi-
ness. Many great companies in Asia have
been using many different facial recognition software. It has been used to identify the
many different employees. This system might grant them access to something or even
let them in a whole building. It has been rather useful for companies who have to regu-
larly keep an eye of who comes in and out of their buildings.
Facial recognition is moving towards becoming a sort of identification instead of using
cards. This technology breakthrough seems pretty good huh? Well there's obviously
some backlash to this. Programs that have facial recognition have problems with vio-
lating privacy laws. Some of these programs take the face of some stranger and cre-
ates a profile for them, not many people want this. This could also create identity theft
cases (thieves always find a way to ruin everything). Though probably in the future
there may be a solution for these problems, the general public won't accept something
that isn't 100% safe. So even though facial recognition technology has advanced a lot,
there is still a long way to go before the public uses it in daily life.
