500 KVA, 11/0.433 kV three phase outdoor copper wound distribution transformer with
2.5 & 5% off circuit tap
1. Voltage Ratio: No load voltage 11000/433 volts within tolerance as stipulated in IS:
2026.The primary (HV) winding shall be connected in delta AND secondary (LV) to be
connected in star with vector group Dyn11. The neutral of the secondary (LV) winding
shall be brought out to a separate insulated terminal. The cross section of neutral
conductor s must be the same size of phase conductor.
2. System: 11000 volts A.C.,50 Hz supply having non effectively earthed neutral(resistively
earthed) system on HV side/ The 11kV systems shall have basic insulation level of 28 kV
for one minute/95 kVp impulse. 433 volts A.C,50 Hz supply shall be rated for 1.1 kV
grade and basic insulation of 3 kV for one minute and 7.5 kVp impulse.
3. Temperature Rise: The maximum temperature rise at the specified maximum
continuous output shall not exceed 35 degree C by thermometer in the hottest portion
of the oil or 40 degree C measured by resistance of winding above ambient temperature
of 50 degree C. Temperature rise test to be performed in any one supplied transformer
at the lowest tap position in presence of representative of Sr.Mgr [EM-OPH] , SgTPP,
WBPDCL. Bids not meeting the above temperature rise limit would be treated as non-
responsive.
4. Guarantee: All transformers shall be supplied with guarantee period of 03(three) years
from date of commissioning of transformer. Any deficiency during guarantee period will
be made up free of cost by the supplier either by the replacement or by repairs.
5. Cable End Boxes: (A) The transformer shall be fitted with suitable end termination
boxes on 11 kV side to terminate one 11 kV/ 3 core Aluminum conductor XLPE cable up
to 240 mm2. For 11 KV side bushing shall be 17.5 KV grade.
The bidder shall ensure the arrangement of HT Cable box so as to prevent the ingress
of
moisture into the box due to rain water directly falling on the box. The cable box on HT
side
shall be of the split type with faces plain and machined and fitted with Neo-k-Tex or
similar
quality gasket and complete with brass wiping gland to be mounted on separate split
type gland
plate with nut-bolt arrangement and MS earthing clamp. The bushings of the cable box
shall be
fitted with nuts and stem to take the cable cores without bending them. The stem shall
be of
copper with copper nuts. The cross section of the connecting rods shall be stated and
shall be
adequate for carrying the rated currents. On the HV side the terminal rod shall have a
diameter of not less than 12 mm. The material of connecting rod
shall be copper. HT Cable support clamp
should be provided to avoid tension due to cable weight.
(B) The transformer shall be fitted with suitable LV cable box having non-magnetic material
gland
