for Beedi Workers, etc.: Rajasthan Details of Revised Integrated Housing Scheme 2005 for Beedi Workers, etc. Particulars Description Name of the Scheme Revised Integrated Housing Scheme 2005 for Beedi Workers, etc. Sponsored by Both: Central & State Government A uniform Central subsidy Rs.40,000/- per worker per house will be granted. The first installment of the subsidy of Rs.20,000 will be released at the time of grant of administrative approval for the purpose of construction of the house till the roof level. The Second Funding Pattern Installment of the subsidy will be released on the construction reaching roof level and for the purpose of completing the construction. However, the entire amount of subsidy of Rs.40,000/- per house per worker will be released to the respective State Government in the beginning of the financial year. Ministry/Department Labour Department Description The scheme is intended to relieve to some extent the housing shortage, mainly among Beedi Workers. The implementing agency will be the State Governments through Dist Collector or Deputy Commissioner concerned who will identify the eligible beneficiaries and send the proposals through the concerned State Govts to the Director General of Labour Welfare, Min of Labour. Beneficiaries Family, Benefits Benefit Type Subsidy, Any beedi worker whether an employee of an establishment or a Ghar Khatta worker who has been engaged in the beedi industry Eligibility criteria for not less than one year. A worker shall be allowed to construct only one house. The monthly income of the family should not exceed Rs.6,500/- per month. The applications in the prescribed form completed in all respects, alongwith the contribution of the worker @ Rs.5,000/- per tenement, from the eligible beneficiary, shall be deposited by the Beedi Worker with the District Collector/Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district or any authority nominated/appointed by him, alongwith his application form.
