Assessment Strategies:
The teacher who is not leading the KWL will take anecdotal notes/observational records
about how students are responding to the questions asked and how well they are listening
to their peers.
Modifications:
No modifications need to be made academically for this activity. If a student doesnt wish
to participate, they dont have to. Since this is an oral activity, all students should be
encouraged to participate but dont need to be pressured to if they dont feel comfortable
doing so. If they work better in small groups, they can put their ideas in during small
group time one on one with the teacher so it can still be written on the chart for everyone
to see.
