Motivation: Athletic Performance Training

Athleticism is measured by a few key factors
Strength vs. Power
Athletes monitor both
Most training only targets portions of the
Force-Velocity curve
Elite athletic training focuses on shifting the
entire F-V curve
Entire shifts result in increase in power,
strength, and athleticism

Customer Surveys
Seven trainers in the Tallahassee area, average of 10 years experience

3 from Premier Health and Fitness

2 from Atlas Fit

2 from Florida A&M University

Common feedback:

A power measurement device would be useful to track their clients progress & overall health

Jerk is not a significant measurement for athletics

Common power measuring exercises: bench press, deadlift, and squat
