Lesson Plan: February 7, 2017

Objectives:
Students will continue using and creating wh- and yes/no question forms.
Students will ask and answer common job interview questions.
Students will describe themselves and their accomplishments using the past tense forms
they have learned previously.

Time Activity Materials

4:20 Warm-up: Idioms (Jodi) Powerpoint

4:25 Review Question Structure (Jodi) and Practice with 20 Questions Chalkboard
game (Larissa): Play one round as a class. Then students will play (categories)
the game with a partner, in which one student thinks of one
object/animal/job while the other asks questions with the purpose of
trying to guess what the partner is thinking of.
=> Practice intonation and remember rules learned yesterday.

Teach students to write down their ideas in bullet points and
follow them while speaking (organize thoughts)
(Review questions about yourself during an interview)

4:50 Practice: Students will follow the bullet points theyve written about Question:

5:00 Interview speed dating (Jodi): Practice answering and asking Questions on
questions. Rotate through multiple questions Powerpoint
Students will be seated in a speed dating set-up and will slides
repeat asking and answering the same question more than
once.

5:20 Wrap-up: Partner talk Identify 2 new concepts you learned today
