the
folder
Petes
Analog
Shimmer
Pads
into
the
"Sampler
Instruments"
folder
located
at
HD/Library/Application
Support/Logic/Sampler
Instruments/.
Note
you
can
also
store
all
of
your
EXS24
sound
libraries
on
a
second
hard
drive
to
free

space,
to
do
this
create
an
Alias
to
the
Samples
folders
in
this
location
-
if
you
are
unsure
on
how
to
create
alias
files,
I
recommend
just
moving
the
files
folder
to
the
above
location.
Next
time
you
launch
the
EXS24
as
an
instrument
in
Logic/MainStage,
your
new
instruments
will
appear
in
the
Instruments
list.
If
they
dont,
simply
click
on
Refresh
Menu
in
the
instrument
dropdown
menu
to
refresh
you
EXS24
instrument
list.
Instruments
can
also
be
stored
in
the
Sampler
Instruments
sub-
folder
of
any
of
the
following
folders:
~/Library/Application
Support/Logic:
User-defined
or
edited
instruments
are
stored
here.
/Library/Application
Support/Logic:
Factory-supplied
EXS
instruments
are
installed
here.
/Applications/Logic

Series:
EXS
instruments
created
with
the
Logic
6
Series
are
stored
here.
/ProjectName:
MainStage
also
searches
for

the

folder.
USING
PETES
ANALOG
SHIMMER
PADS
I
often
change
the
reverb
Feedback
(Decay/Release)
live
to
help
with
song
transitions
etc.
This
can
easily
be
simulated
by
mapping
the
Release
knob
or
slider
to
a
midi
controller
so
you
can
have
real-time
control
of
this
parameter.

Click
on
the
Spanner
shaped
Icon
in
the
top
left
corner
and
scroll
to
the
bottom
of
the
page
to
find
the
Release
knob
on
the
right
hand
side.
EXS24
The
Release
slider
R
is
located
in
the
bottom
right
corner.
I
also
suggest
using
these
Shimmer
Pads
with
the
original
dry
Analog
V
Pad.
By
adjusting
the
volume
of
these
Shimmer
Pads
you
can
determine
how
wet
or
dry
you
want
the
reverb
signal
to
be.
In
Kontakt
5
simply
load
Analog
V
Pad
and
any
of
the
Shimmer
Pads
into
the
same
instance
of
Kontakt
5.
When
using
the
EXS24
simply
create
a
second
channel
strip
in
your
DAW
and
add
Analog
V
Pad
to
one
instance
of
EXS24
and
a
Shimmer
Pad
to
the
other
instance.
I
had
a
lot
of
fun
creating
these
pads,
and
Ill
definitely
be
using
these
myself
in
my
live
setup.
Especially
when
I
dont
have
the
hardware
at
my
fingertips.
ENJOY!
