Career Cruising Assessments

Directions: You will take two assessments and write down some of the information given to you
based on the assessment. You need to do this on a separate piece of paper and will need to turn it
in when you finish.

Finding the assessments:

1. Website: Career Cruising- https://www2.careercruising.com/default/cplogin/SM
2. Log-in:
a. Username: SM-34number (ex. SM-340000)
b. Password: school password- Capital letter, lower case letter, six numbers (ex.
Wg062015)
3. Click on Assessments tab
4. Take the Learning Styles Inventory and then the Matchmaker and My Skills assessment

Assignments:
1. When you reach the results page of the Learning Styles Inventory, write down:
a. Your learning styles results
b. Five tips to help you learn better based on your learning style
2. When you reach the results page of the Matchmaker and My Skills assessment, write
down:
a. The sector recommendation that interests you the most
b. Three jobs in that sector that interest you

If you finish early:

1. Click on My Plan below your name
2. Click on Build My Resume
3. Add any information you can to your resume. Information you can add:
a. Any work experience
b. Volunteer work
c. Awards you have received (Renaissance can be added)
d. Extracurricular activities (sports, clubs, etc)
e. Hobbies and interests
f. Skills and abilities
