1. Installation Overview
1.1. Introduction
The purpose of this document is to provide the step-by-step guide to do Installation the
Hyperion 11.1.2.4 and understand how is EPM being architecture and its components.

1.2. Prerequisites
1. Download all required files from
https://edelivery.oracle.com/osdc/faces/SearchSoftware .

2. Extract all zip files into one directory.

Configuration
2.1. Create the repository
1. Open SQL Server Management Studio. Connect to SQL database to create repository.
2. To create new database, Right click, choose Databases, then click New Database.
3. Create these database repositories name on SQL Server database:

a. FND
b. EPMA
c. HFM
d. plan
e. essbase
f. Calc
g. RA
h. FDMEE

4. Create one user with dbo access. Expand Security, right click Logins, then choose
New Login.
e.g:
Username login hyperion
Password P@ssw0rd.
Note: Dont check Enforce password policy.

5. Map all these database repositories into one user login that have created before.
a. FND
b. EPMA
c. HFM
d. plan
e. essbase
f. Calc
g. RA
h. FDMEE
Right click database, then choose Properties.

Select page Files in the right side, then set the Owner into hyperion as user login that
has created before.
2.2. Installation of EPM 11.1.2.4

1. Execute the installtool.cmd

2. Choose English and click Ok.

3. Click Next to start the installation

4. Select C:\Oracle\Middleware as default location. Click next.
5. Select New Installation

6. Select the below component and click Next
7. Click Next to start the installation

9. Click Configure when the process is done.

2.3.1. Hyperion Shared Services Configuration
1. Select the oracle home.
2. Insert the shared services repository information. Use FND as database, user login
hyperion, and password P@ssword.

cluster, then click next.

1. Navigate to C: \Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\ADM\11.1.2.0\lib
2. Edit the ADM.properties and enable the ADM_RMI_SERVER_PORT=8205

3. Issues During Installation

3.1. EPMA Service cant be started
Description Issue:
EPMA cant be started after installation and configuration.
From logs C:Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\diagnostics\logs\epma\DimensionServer.log,

there is line message:
'C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Foundation\BPMA\AppServer\DimensionServer\Server
Engine\bin\EPMA_ServerEngine.exe' could not be started.
Solution:
1. Login to MSSQL Server Management
2. Create new query from database EPMA.
3. Write and execute this below queries on EPMA Database.

4. After execution of above queries, EPMA Service can be started.

3.2. Java.rmi.RemoteException when access

Application Library, Dimension Library, and
Data synchronize.
Description Issue:
This picture below illustrate message error when access library, dimension library, and data synchronize.
Solution:
1. Open Server Manager, click Manage, then choose Add Roles and Features.

2. Click Next.
3. Choose Role-base or feature-based installation and click next.

4. Choose option Select a server from the server pool and click next.
5. Expand Web Server (IIS), Web Server, Application Development. Then check .NET Extensibility
4.5, ASP .NET 4.5, ISAPI Extensions, and ISAPI Filters.

6. Select .NET Framework 4.5 Features. Then Click Next

7. Installation is completed. Restart server and start all service to run EPM.

2. Insert the Information of the RA repository

4. Insert the epm_admin information. Password P@ssword

6. Click Next as default

8. Click Next button for configure the RMI Ports.

1. Select the below components and click Next.

2. Deploy to Application Server and click next.

4. Select next as default.

6. Choose Task Panel to continue to next configuration.
