PROJECT PROPOSAL:
ACOUSTIC AND POETRY NIGHT

I. Introduction
It is the common thrust of educators in the Philippines to promote constructivist
modes of education whereby students are allowed to make their learning more
authentic by extending them outside the four walls of their classrooms.
In our continuing desire to provide students with venues that would allow them
so, we hereby propose the conduct of an ACOUSTIC AND POETRY NIGHT.
This project is conceived in connection with (1) literature and literary expression
concerned classes, i.e. 21st Century Literature and Oral Communication, (2) socially-
relevant subjects, i.e. Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics, (3) the celebration
of February as the month of love, and (4) as a fund-raiser for the future activities of
The Vanguard, the SHS Departments journalism organization.

II. Project Description

1. This project shall be conducted as an open-mic event for both poets and
musicians to showcase their talents and their original poems and
compositions.
2. The proposed theme is Baon: Malalim, Madiin, Matalim.
3. As a fundraiser, the Ad Hoc Committee shall sell out tickets for the event at
P25.00 each. The projects expenditures, i.e., food and stage decoration, shall
be taken from this.
4. The project shall proceed under the guidance and supervision of the Ad Hoc
Committee whose main function is to coordinate all other committees listed
below:
a. Food and Service Committee (under Mr. Raymond Kaibigan and
Ms. Jimuellene Pitel);
b. Design and Appearances Committee (under Ms. Caselyn Sebuc)
c. Sound and Music Committee (under Mr. Ramilito Ramiro)

III. Proposed Timeline

In the matrix below is the proposed timeline for the project, supposing this
proposal shall merit approval today:
January 18 Meeting of Teachers (Assignment of Countries, Selection of
Students, Set up of Committees)
January 23 Announcement, invitation (i.e., posters)
onwards
January 31 Deadline of expression to join as poet/musician
February 4/11- Physical designs and preparations.
12/17-18

IV. Proceeds
 Proponents propose to use the proceeds for the future plans of The Vanguard, and
by extension, The Laiyan, the schools journalistic arms.

V. Expenditures
The table below shows a list of the possible expenditures that may be incurred by
the program:
