OVERVIEW
EveryyearEnvelopeManagersareaskedtoprovideexplanationsoflargevariancesintheirunitsactualresultsagainst
projection,budgetandprioryearactuals.TheVarianceReportandanalysisthenformspartoftheYearEndResultspack
presentedtotheBudgetCommittee.

Inordertofacilitatethistask,therearetwotypesofreportsavailablefromHyperion.

UserscanusethemainVarianceReporttoproducetheresultsfortheirarea,toseewhatvariancemayrequire
comment.

UserscanthenalsousetheVarianceDrilldownReportstoassistinprovidingthecommentandanalysisonvariances.

ThereportswillbeavailabletousersofHyperiontoviewVarianceReportsforthedepartmentsorareasforwhichthey
haveaccess,andtorunthevariancedrilldownreportshouldtheyrequiretounderstand,analyze,orinvestigate
variances.
