 Taught as a long time substitute teacher on three separate occasions and been a substitute teacher for
several years.
 I am the parent of two daughters, 13 and 7 years old.

 Designed projects for 800 children as Vacation Bible School Craft Director and Instructor for groups of
60 children

I have a minor in business and managed people in the hospitality and retail fields, many of those teenagers. It is

EMPLOYMENT
2008-2009 Long Term Substitute Teacher, Lakota Schools
Taught at Lakota West Freshman School algebra from November 18, 2009 until the last day of school.
Responsible for lesson plans, (using a shared store online) instruction, grading, daily records keeping,
communication about students wit IEPs, posting grades, posting assignments, announcements, and
grades while updating Edline account, discipline, parent contact, and report cards. Instructed several
special education students with IEPs and two ESL students, one during her silent period. Until
November, I was a substitute teacher with normal responsibilities.

1999-2008 Stay at home mom of two daughters. Volunteering free time to school and children’s organizations.
2000-2001 Dance Instructor, YMCA of Springfield, Illinois
Taught several combo ballet /tap classes of groups of 15-20 children between the ages of 4 -10
children. Assisted in developing and implementing the class lesson plans and accompanying music.
Contributed my knowledge of dance education to fellow dance teachers.

1994-1999 Substitute Teacher, Boone County Board of Education, Kentucky


Responsible for following lesson plans, providing instruction or finding work for students if plans
were unavailable. Mainly worked at Conner Senior High School but, also in elementary and junior
high school. Assisted in the coverage of classrooms when substitutes were not available. Provided
long term substitutions for a high school math teacher during maternity leave and special education
teachers during IEP meetings. Prompted students with questions to help them find their answers.

1996-1998 Part-time Sales Associate, Walt Disney Company


Cast member of the Disney Store in The Florence Mall before and during Grand Opening.
Responsible in assisting guests with merchandise, movies, and theme park tickets.

1994-1995 Store Manager, It’s Only $1


Supervised 12 employees of their cash register duties, stocking the inventory, and payroll of the store.

1993-1994 Assistant Store Manager, Burger King Restaurant


Responsibilities as shift manager include direct supervision of ten employees, cash handling and safe
verification, inventory control, food preparation, and customer service.

1991-1994 Store Manager, Dawahares of Ohio


Martin’s Department Store in Kenwood Mall responsible for control of inventory, payroll, personnel
hiring, training, and merchandising. Implemented sales training course. Successfully increased
customer base and maintained margin dollars for a year end profit. Executed liquidation process with
successful inventory control and sales increase at the Kenwood Store. Transferred to Tri-County Mall
to continue store manager duties.
Second Assistant Manager at Florence Mall from March 1991 – 1992. Supervised juniors and
accessory departments while performing managerial duties when the store manager was unavailable.
Implemented liquidation process of Dawahares in Florence, Kentucky at Christmas time.
