    IR Analysis

    1. Take an IR of the unknown you have been assigned. Be sure to pick peaks.

    2. Print a copy of the spectrum. You will staple this page and your IR spectrum to the Spectroscopy
    worksheet.

    3. Label the BOND and FUNCTIONAL GROUP responsible for each of the interesting peaks directly on
    the spectrum. For example, if you find a peak at ~2900 you would label it as:

    C H

    sp3 hybridized C
    or alkyl group
