It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Anthony Rios. I worked with Anthony as his
cooperating teacher in his elementary placement. Anthony is not only a natural in the gym teaching, he is
also great with the students.

Anthony possesses a very strong work ethic. One in which you cant find so easily these days. He has solid
values and his responsibility to his job is certainly a strong quality of his. Anthony was always reliable. I
would say Anthony went above and beyond his requirements while teaching at our school.

Anthony worked with students in grades K-5. He taught twenty-three sections every other day, seeing over
530 students. Perhaps one thing that impressed me the most was the time he took to learn the students
names. For only being here eight weeks, he took the time to get to know the kids. As anyone in education
knows, its the relationships that are formed that ultimately lead to students learning. Anthony took the time
to build those relationships, which ultimately led his classroom setting to be one in which students were
engaged and on task. The students he taught were focused and knew that Mr. Rios had a vested interest in
their learning. I feel Anthony has come away from his teaching experience at Milliken Elementary School
with a feel of what it is like to be a full time educator in an elementary building.

Anthony is in good physical condition and presents himself as a healthy, enthusiastic role model for his
students. He is sensitive to the differences in the grade levels and provides positive reinforcement in both
individual and group situations. Anthonys strengths are many, but perhaps his ability to work with kids
with special needs is to be recognized. Anthony sees the diversity in needs and adapts appropriately.

I believe Anthony has grown professionally in the weeks he has been here. Anthony is perhaps one of the
hardest working college age kids Ive ever met. He balances life well and keeps his priorities where they
should be. He has shown all the characteristics of a good teacher: responsibility, commitment to his students,
innovation, assertiveness, and a caring personality. It is my honest opinion and recommendation that
Anthony Rios will be an asset to any school district that hires him.
