Tackling Technology SCPSSA Swimming Sports

Young people need new skills and guidance as they navigate This year a team of 21 students represented our school at
their digital world. Do you have trouble keeping up with the the SC Primary Schools Swimming Sports on Wednesday

Pleasant Point Primary is hosting a Tackling Technology all over primary schools in South Canterbury with about
presentation for parents. This informative evening with the 200 students competing. Izzy Sharp came first in all of her 9
team from Attitude is designed to help parents get the races, she also broke 8 records. Briar Annett came 1st in
confidence and skills they need to be proactive when tackling the 10yr girls 50m Backstroke. It was a great day out and all
technology with their children, pre-teens and teenagers. the swimmers competed well. Well done!
Helpful topics such as text bullying, gadget addiction, sexting
and online safety will be covered.

Utilising technology for all its good parts while keeping


realistic boundaries will be discussed as we seek to empower
parents to feel confident while monitoring technology use in

ANZAC Day Service

The annual Pleasant Point Community


ANZAC Day Service will be held in the
Victor Wilson Hall on Tuesday 25th
April at 8am. We would invite all

attend the service and represent our
school by wearing our school uniform.

Library Books and School Readers Point Primarys Spring Gala

As we are nearing the end of the term we would This year we are changing it up a bit and having a Spring Gala

Positive Behaviour for Learning Shave for a Cure

Bagpipe Lessons: Scott Shannon from The Bagpipe Centre in Temuka is offering Bagpipe tuition at Pleasant Point Primary.
Timaru Girls High School Open Day: Wednesday 17th May 2017. There will be two sessions, the first commencing at
9am and the second commencing at 11am. There will be guided tours of both the school and the hostel. All welcome.
Pleasant Point Preschool Nursery & Kindergarten: We have three great rooms, Nursery (0-2), Preschool (2- 3
1/2approx.) and Kindergarten (3 1/2 - School Age), with large outdoor play areas for each room. Feel free to call in to have a
