ViGro Complete Flush contains no products of animal or plant origin. ViGro Complete Flush does not require the addition
of serum, BSA, or antibiotics. This solution contains 0.1% Polyvinylalcohol as a surfactant and includes Kanamycin and
Gentamycin as antibiotics. This solution is stored at 15c-30c however it will not be harmed by refrigeration or

The embryo transfer holding solutions have a 9 hr. holding time at room temperature; or 20 hr at 4c.
Holding Plus is the first bovine embryo transfer holding medium based on a
formula adapted from a proven embryo culture medium. Holding Plus is
designed to support optimal embryo survival in air at room temperature; and
provides essential amino acids, growth factors, enzymes, energy substrates
and antibiotics.

ViGRO Ethylene Glycol Freeze Plus

The success and convenience of freezing embryos in ethylene
glycol for direct transfer brought about a dramatic change
in the ET industry. Ethylene glycol moves across
cell membranes more readily than glycerol, embryos can be
transferred directly into recipients after thawing, without removing
the embryo from the straw, thus eliminating time-consuming
rehydration steps.

ViGRO Splitting
Embryo splitting is the most effective and rapid method of increasing the number of
offspring in an ET program. This medium is designed for safe and rapid splitting
or biopsy without the need for a holding pipette. It contains no protein and,
consequently, allows proteins in the zona pellucida to form an electrostatic
attraction to the bottom of the tissue culture dish. This holds the embryo in
place during the splitting procedure. Used in conjunction with Bioniches

Bioniche Silicon Catheters

Bioniche catheters are specially designed to ensure the high recovery of embryos from every flush. They are constructed from 100%
pigment-free silicone elastomer, and so there is no toxic colouring agent to leak into the flushing fluid. Embryo culture studies show these as
the least toxic material available.
1. The silicone elastomer is tough enough to withstand
repeated flushing and sterilisation.
2. At 22 and 26, they are longer than a standard foley catheter
and therefore ideal for uterine horn flushes of deep-bodied
mature cows.
3. Additionally, for virgin heifers the length does not create
excessive dead space before the y-piece.
4. Four openings at the distal end ensure a high flow rate, and
designed to minimise the chance of the stylette slipping
through a hole when repositioning the catheter.
5. The distal end is moulded with an internal holding cup to
receive and prevent stylette protrusions. 30cc and 5cc
concentric balloon keep the catheter tip free in the uterine
horn lumen to ensure full recoveries.

Alconox
To clean catheters, gastric tubes and other tubing, rinse with cold water immediately after use. Then soak in a 1% Alconox solution for
about an hour. Rinse in fresh water. If parts are to be sterilised, rinse in sterile and de-ionised water before preparing for sterilisation.
1. Place catheter in a wash pan or sink containing a detergent solution

such as Alconox. Use a large syringe to force the detergent through
the lumen of each catheter several times.
2. Remove the catheter from the detergent and hold each catheter under
a tap so that a stream of water flows through the lumen for at least
10 seconds. For the final rinse, pour a small quantity of distilled water
over the open end of the catheter so that both the lumen and outside
are rinsed.
3. Package the catheter in an autoclave bag and autoclave in distilled
water at 105C at 15psi for 15 minutes. Material used for embryo
transfer should not be autoclaved with surgical materials such as
drapes and gowns. Anything that is water soluble, such as soap
residues in gowns, will be solubilised and deposited on everything in
the autoclave.

Bovine YCD Assays

The YCD embryo sexing assay enables trained operators to quickly and accurately
determine the sex of bovine embryos before they are transferred to recipients. It is used
in conjunction with Bioniches Twinner and Quick-TEST systems. This cost-effective,
commercially proven reagent turns embryo sexing into a simple procedure which can be
completed in less than two hours. YCD is supplied in a ready-made formulation designed
for use in a DNA amplifier. Each batch is pre-tested to ensure complete efficacy. It is
manufactured with an expectation of 95% accuracy. YCD is conveniently packaged

Freeze Control Systems
A range of Freeze Control Cryochambers are available to suit different applications with cooling rates appropriate for most
protocols. Cryochambers are interchangeable, and the design ensures symmetrical heat transfer from all specimens to liquid
nitrogen. The chamber stands directly in liquid nitrogen within the cryobath, and is connected to the controller which regulates the
temperature of the specimens. The highly conductive material used for the chamber ensures a very high degree of temperature
uniformity within each specimen, and whether or not liquid nitrogen levels are sufficient. Specimen temperature is measured
continuously and is monitored by a precision platinum temperature sensor permanently mounted in the core.

Vitrification
The CryoLogic Vitrification Method is a simple and reliable process used to
vitrify and thaw specimens. The CVM kit overcomes many of the problems
usually encountered with vitrification. It has been specially designed to
provide ultra-rapid cooling of specimens without their immersion in or
direct contact with liquid nitrogen. Specimens are collected into small
droplets and each droplet is transferred onto a hook at the end of a custom
designed fibre called a Fibreplug. The droplets are vitrified by touching the
hook of the Fibreplug to the surface of a chilled block. The CryoLogic
Vitrification Method not only provides ultra-rapid cooling of specimens, but
just as important, is the ultra-rapid warming of specimens.

They are made of a high quality Styrofoam box; and inner
Stainless-steel Container with a Floating Rack.
For use, the Stainless-steel container is filled with liquid
nitrogen. A Floating Rack keeps the needed distance between
0.25 ml or 0.5 ml straws during the first temperature reduction
phase, while it floats on liquid nitrogen. The straw-filled rack is
then manually immersed into the liquid nitrogen.
This is an easy, but robust and effective solution for standard

Semen and Embryo Thawing
IFT Thaw unit

Made out of high impact plastic and with no Glass inner flask, allows our product to be
one of the most robust thaw unit in the market built to survive under any working
conditions. The IFT thaw unit can be pre-set to thaw either Semen or Embryos. Please
specify what setting you require at time of order.
CTT
Automatically heats and maintains an accurate and continuous
temperature for semen thawing. Its unique heating system (CTT)
which covers the wall of the inner cylinder provides a uniform heat
without irregularities and without any need to agitate the water.
4-Slot Divider:
The inner cylinder contains a four slot divider which helps to
identify/organise semen straws. The 4slot divider acts as a
reference level for filling the cylinder with clean water.
Straw Lifter:
The lifter elevates the straws in order to obviate the use of
fingers causing the semen to warm unevenly, and so
reducing sperm vitality.
Power Supply Kit:

The IFT Semen Thaw Unit can take you anywhere thanks to its power supply kit.
Four metre power cord; 12V car socket; Battery Clips and Automatic power pack for
mains 110/220V.

Easy to See - Solid Stem Thermometer for rapid reading of
temperatures. Shockproof protection sleeve cover.
DM Thaw unit
It is very important that semen is thawed consistently at the right temperature of 35-38Centigrade
(95-100F) and for the correct period of time of 45 seconds.
If this does not happen, a percentage of sperm will die long before they ever see a cow, this has even
greater consequences for sexed semen and older straws.
Available in either 12v or 24v. This Thaw Unit is suitable for thawing both Semen and Embryo straws.

INRA 96 Semen Extender - Equine

Is our best selling semen extender for on farm use, and chilled semen shipments
It has proven to be beneficial for use in sub-fertile stallions or in ejaculates that are susceptible to
cooling or preservation at 4C.
It can be used to preserve semen at 4C and at 15C for potentially up to 48 hours. Some results
obtained in France suggest INRA 96 can be used to preserve semen up to 72 hours.
It is ready to use, presented in a liquid form. No dilution is needed.

Spervital Semen Extender - Equine

Spervital extenders have been available to the market for a number of years. The variety of extenders allow choice, to enable the maximum
success where problems arise in semen from certain stallions.
EVD Egg Yolk Extender (Spervital Blue) 100ml

Spervital recommend using their blue-top extender when shipping semen. The sperm
remains viable for a longer period of time in this extender. The Spervital Blue can also be
used after thawing semen .
EVD+ Egg Yolk Extender Plus (Spervital Red) 100ml
Spervital recommends using the red top extender when stallions produce semen of
lesser quality. It contains an extra energy substrate, which can be easily absorbed by the
sperm cells, to enable the sperm to live for longer, and gives excellent results when
shipping.
EVDS Egg Yolk Extender Plus (Spervital Green) 100ml
When stallions have semen that does not live very long, then this extender is
recommended. Spervital introduced the green-top extender into the equine market in
2009. Many stallions poor quality semen have reacted very well. It also has good results
with semen that may be of good quality but expires quickly.
All Spervital extenders are special order items.

ARS EZ-Mixin Semen Extenders - Equine

The original E-Z Mixin family of extenders have been the industry standard for many years.
These Kenney-based formulas have been adjusted to allow the use of several different
antibiotics to prevent bacterial growth and to optimize the length of time the semen can be
cooled and stored prior to use

Contains the antibiotic amikacin and is recommended for cooled semen programs where the semen must be stored

Polymyxin B Sulfate is desired
EZM-OF EZ-Mixin OF Standard Formulation 125ml

This product contains the antibiotic Polymyxin B Sulfate. EZ-Mixin OF is recommended for on farm-use
when the semen is used immediatly after collection
EZM-BF EZ-Mixin BF Standard Formulation 125ml
This preparation does not contain antibiotics. It is designed for the experienced veterinarian or breeder who
wishes to add a choice of antibiotic(s). EZ-Mixin BF Extender is recommended when certain pathogens require
specific antibiotics or antibiotic that may enhance survival of spermatozoa from a particular stallion. EZ-Mixin
BF is also used as a centrifugation media for frozen semen.
EZMP-CST EZ-Mixin CST w/ Potassium Penicillin G 125ml
A popular, Cooled, Stored or Transported Extender, with the addition of Potassium Penicillin G in a pull apart capsule.
The combination of Amicacin and Potassium Penacillin G has been shown to increase the motility in some stallions.
EZMP-OF EZ-Mixin OF+ w/ Potassium Penicillin G 125ml
This is the original ARS formula extender, with the addition of potassium Penicillin G in a pull-apart capsule.
EZMP-BF EZ-Mixin BF+ w/ Potassium Penicillin G 125ml
The basic formula from ARS includes a Potassium Penicillin G capsule. This may be preferred in special situations
where the use of potassium Penicillin G only is desired.
EZMTD-BF EZ-Mixin BFT+ w/ Ticarcillin 125ml
EZ-Mixin BFT is ARS latest extender formula for cooled, stored or transported semen. This extender includes a
pull-apart capsule containing Ticarcillin and is recommended stallions that have problems shipping with Amakacin
based formulas.

DMO+ and EMO+ are advanced equine semen freezing extenders, developed and distributed by EGG Technologies International Ltd. These
products are two of the most technologically advanced extenders available on the market today. They are available Internationally and have

DMO +
DMO+ is a 3rd generation semen freezing extender designed for equine semen freezing.
