NARRATIVE
Lecture 1: Drainage of the Mind by Mr. Nick Son
Drainage is used to remove unnecessary things from a certain area or place. It helps
in removing dirt. The mind should have its own drainage so ideas and thoughts will
flow neatly and orderly. People should be able to distinguish facts from presumptions.
The mind should check what the truth is before accepting the information given.
Verifying thoughts should be done in order to be near success. Analyzing thoughts
first before concluding something is needed to avoid contaminated thoughts and
prevent you from having a contaminated mind. Drainage of the mind prevents you
from having various contaminated thoughts that corrupt mans behaviour and
thinking. Man should always remember that MYSELF WHO IS DRAGGING MY
THOUGHTS IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. If you practice having drainage of the mind, you
wont have to entertain negative thoughts and you can easily classify truth from lies
and facts from bluffs. Man should learn to separate what to keep and what to throw.
Lecture 2: Desire and Self-Control by Mr. David Yu
A very expensive car with faulty break is nothing but a broken car. It will lose its
value. A break is a very important part of any vehicle. It is the main control of the
machine. One needs to drive with a break to avoid accidents and undesirable
situations.
In life, we all have desires. Desires are the things that keep us motivated to do things.
It makes us driven. Following desire without self-control is unhealthy. We need to have
self-control.
We must practice the DELAY OF GRATIFICATION and PROPER DISSATISFACTION. Not all
the things we want are available to be grabbed instantly. One must work hard before
earning the fruit of his or her effort and sacrifices.
When a person has the ability to self-control, his life can truly be happy. Parents and
teachers need to teach children how to control and follow their desires for they cant
learn it on their own or by themselves.
Individuals with right mind are the true leaders.
Lecture 3: Bacteria of the Mind by Mr. Nick Son
Bacteria are everywhere. They spread like wildfire. Our mind too, is composed of
different bacteria, those are our thoughts. Its our way of living that makes the
bacteria in our mind spoiled. Ones stubbornness act as the bio film of the bacteria of
the mind. It covers and houses the bacteria. It hinders the advices of others.
Bacteria in our mind includes being conceited, disregarding ideas of others, always
telling okay, settling for whats enough not wanting for more, thinking youre always
right and never wrong, always seeing whats wrong with the other person, believing
always that he or she can handle it without help from others and trusting oneself too
much. These thoughts block an individual from learning from others
According to John Maxwell, the only reason why people cannot achieve their dream is,
they just want to change the result and not their thoughts. If you are living by how
the society goes, you are just living without thoughts.
Lecture 4: True Wisdom by Mr. David Ryu
Mighty falls because of pride and self-conceit. The heart follows a road not seen by
many. Only the words of God are the true story of the heart. When we understand the
world of heart, we could get wisdom.
People always want to be better than others. They dont pay attention on learning the
world of heart.
True wisdom is when you know your shortcomings. When a person realizes he is much
more pitiful than he once thought. He becomes humble, sincere and diligent. He could
get wisdom. He will no more trust himself too much. He will now live a new life.
When a person stays having an arrogant heart, he cant learn from others. He will
only live by himself, isolated. When a person has a humble heart, he could realize
that theres so much more you can learn from others. One can also get wisdom from
others. No man is an island. One should learn to live accepting help from others.
Lecture 5: IYF Care by Mr. Abraham Nam
International Youth Fellowship will introduce and help us know more about the world
of heart, words of God. We can understand the Bible clearly.
Knowing the bible is the education of all education. It will help us open our mind to
the new world. It will help us be a better person. If the Lord is the center of all, we can
live peacefully and happily
(1 John 4:10) Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his
Son to be our propitiation for our sins.
(Isa 53:6) All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own
way and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
All our sins were laid on Christ for Jesus cares.
We must be guided by Christs righteousness. We must accept and welcome change.
The righteous lay all his sins to the Lord for salvation and redemption.
