MESSAGE FROM THE REPORT OF ENGLISH INTERMEDIATE COURSE FROM SATURDAY 25TH
FEBUARY TO SATURDAY 1ST OF APRIL, 2017 PRESENTED BY PROF. NCHUMBONGA GEORGE
LEKELEFAC, PROF. OF ENGLISH, INTERMEDIATE II.
The intermediate class took place every Saturday from 8am to 1pm in the following dates: 25 TH FEBU-
ARY, 4TH MARCH, 11TH MARCH, 18TH MARCH, 25TH MARCH, AND 1ST APRIL. The material used was
ENGLISH RESULT, PRE-INTERMEDIATE TEXT BOOK, AND WORK BOOK by Joe McKENNA pub-
lished by OXFORD PRESS. I had fifteen students in total in my class. The topics which we covered in the
six classes included: Jobs, workplaces and tools; defining relative clauses, using a dictionary; job conditions;
Can, cant; because, so; possessive pronouns; how to apologize; apology phrases; present passive; vocabu-
lary phrases of shapes and material; how to make predications; vocabulary regarding emails; first conditional; Countable and un-
countable nouns; vocabulary about prepared food; quantifiers; should, shouldnt; and must.
The class was very interactive so that the students could practice their English. I also encouraged the students to participate in
class and I included ten marks for participation in class. This made the students to actively participate in class. These are some of the
skills I used to encourage them to actively participate in class.
I also made sure I asked the students to write an essay every week in five pages so as to improve their English skills in writ-
ing which I considered as five marks for each essay. The students wrote very nice essays. The essays which each student wrote in-
cluded: How to write a letter of apology, Experience in the intermediate class, my typical day at school, my family, and finally ex-
plaining how to prepare their favorite dish. This essay on explaining how to prepare their favorite will be fifteen percent of their final
exams and will be presented on the day of the exams by each student in class after the grammar exam with a practical presentation of
this favorite dish in class which will be tasted by each student.
I also encouraged the students to participate in class and I included ten marks for participation in class. This made the stu-
dents to actively participate in class. These are some of the skills I used to encourage them to actively participate in class.
Thus my total evaluation of the course is as follows: four essays which is 20 marks; the exams will be grammar which is 40
marks; the participation in class is 10 marks; the presence in class is 10 marks; the exposition of the explanation of a favorite dish is
20 marks. It was a great course and I am sure the students enjoyed it.
Sincerely, Prof. NCHUMBONGA GEORGE LEKEELFAC. E-mail; (nchumbong@yahoo.com); Facebook; George Nchumbonga

COMMENTS BY STUDENTS OF ENGLISH INTERMEDIATE II COURSE ABOUT THIER IMPRESSION OF THE COURSE.

Experience in the Intermediate English course by Juan Carlos Martnez Lzaro

My name is Juan Carlos Martnez Lzaro, I am a Mexican, I study mechanical engineering in ESIME Azcapotzalco. I
actually study English because I think that it is very important for my career and my professional development. f I study
other language, I will be able to work in better jobs or in important companies. In addition, I will have more opportunities
to succeed in the world and will be able to travel to other countries. I will know a lot of people. Many books are written in
English, I would like to buy some books about mechanical engineering in English because these books have more im-
portant information that the books written in Spanish. In addition, other parts of the software of engineering and courses to
learn about this software's are in English. My impression about the intermediate II class was gratifying. This class was
very active and never boring. All the classes are very funny with a lot of participation of the students. I had never had a
class like this before! All my classes of English before were confused because some days, I was not able to understand
the themes but in the class of professor George , I was able to practice my pronunciation, grammar and structures in Eng-
lish, The class was more interesting because I could practice my English. For example: every Saturday I wrote essays of
5 pages. I think that professor George is very funny and has a lot of potential to teach English and other languages. He is
very friendly and he answers to all the questions that one has. In conclusion, I would like to learn more English in this school. Thank you for your
understanding!

My Experience in the English Intermediate II Course by Raymundo Medelln.

My name is Raymundo Medelln. I am a graduate from the Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Economics. I am 23 years
old. I live in the state of Mexico and I am Mexican. I consider myself as a very calm and respectful person. I like when
work is organized and planned,. I am a little tolerant to uneducated people and I like to learn from my mistakes. I also
like to do my activities as best as possible and stand out for it. I may become insecure at times, but when my work,
knowledge or skills is involved, it is very difficult for me not to do my work. My interest in learning English is very
great, not only because it is a universal language, but because it is another piece to achieve success. On the other hand
very personal, I really like English and I feel strongly linked with it. I am currently studying intermediate level II and my
impression of the class was very good. Actually, I liked it because it was very interactive and it helped me to be able to
develop my skills to better understand. Prof. Nchumbonga was excellent from my point of view, not only as a Professor,
but also as a person. I consider that he has many values and that he is really interested in being able to pass them on to
his students. On the educational side, his teaching methods comply with the program, but he likes to give a plus, that
extra that makes you want to go to class with a good attitude. I congratulate Prof. Nchumbonga Lekelefac for being ex-
traordinary and showing us that no matter where we come from, when you have faith and courage, the will and the pas-
sion, dreams and goals can be achieved. Thank you very much!
My Experience in Intermediate II by Gallegos Malagon Bryan.
My name is Bryan, Im from the city of Mexico. I was born in Mexico City. I am currently studying economics. English is a tool in my
career which is essential. I study English because I believe it is a way of surpassing oneself, Know other areas of knowledge. One of the
reasons why I study English is to be able to travel around the world so as to be understood by many people. I enjoy travelling without
barrier in order to understand millions of people. English is a very easy language, and it is universal. Other reasons why I study English
is because I enjoy music in English and it is one of my passions to sing and play. Learning English and understanding other people will
also help you to understand the world and the reality that surrounds you with a different perspective. Speaking a language and being part
of a particular culture means seeing the world in a concrete way. I like traveling, learning other languages like English and other cul-
ture. English can also help you to be more tolerant and open by expanding your knowledge and your ability to see the world from other
realities. My first impression about the English course when I saw the Porf. Nchumbonga was his traditional dress from his country
(Cameroon). I said to myself "this will be a new experience" and so it was. Every class with Professor Nchumbonga was unique in all
aspects, and in addition, he has passion to teach languages, and he also transmits it to his students. Each class was not only an English
class, but also a cultural class. I learnt a lot about his culture, history, traditions, customs, and advice for day to day life and the future. I
had a very good impression about the course, knowledge, good memories, experiences and a lot of smiling and laughing! .

My Experience in the Intermediate II by Lizeth J. Rodriguez.

My name is Lizeth and I am 23 years old. I am an economist. My experience during the English intermediate level II course was very
gratifying because Prof. Nchumbonga George Lekelefac speaks English very well due to the fact that it is his first language, unlike most
of our teachers who have Spanish as their first language. There was a great difference. In addition, he made me work harder. His explana-
tions were always very good. I had never had a foreign teacher before. I liked it because I also learnt a lot about the culture of other
countries like Cameroon, Italy, Canada and others thanks to the international experience of the Professor. It was a different way of learn-
ing because we talked a lot and I was not used to writing essays, but it helped me very much to practice my writing. I would like more
foreign teachers to give us classes because it broadens your mind and the knowledge of the subject you get from them is very different
from a different point of view. It was a very interesting class. I hope Professor George could teach us again in the next semester. I learnt
a lot with him and I liked every class. It was a new way of learning the English language that I liked it very much. I recommend that more
foreign teachers should be employed so that they could teach more languages from the many that they dominate. Thank you very much!

My Experience in the Intermediate Class II by Garca Ferrer Areli Girlene.

Mi name is Garca Ferrer Areli Girlene. I am a Mexican. I study Economics at the IPN in the ESE. I am studying English because I like
to learn how to speak other languages. I also like to travel to other countries and I would like to understand what they say. In addition, in
the labor world, having the knowledge of the English language opens many doors, and makes one to have a good conversation with
foreigner. My impression about the intermediate class and the professor was very impressive. I could not attend the first class, So when
the teacher began to talk it was difficult for me to understand because all our anterior English teachers used both English and Spanish to
teach English. No teacher had ever spoken to us in English throughout the class. However, it seems perfect because it forced my ears to
educate them to better understand English by a teacher who speaks it perfectly. The classes seemed interesting to me although there were
few classes, since we were constantly practicing speaking. I never had a teacher who was not from Mexico teaching English, so I had a
good experience with Professor George. I would like to keep taking more English courses, since it will help me to correct my pronuncia-
tion. Prof. Nchumbonga George explains each topic very well. In conclusion, I would like to say that I hope to have the privilege of hav-
ing more classes with Professor Nchumbonga George Lekelefac. Thank you very much for your understanding!.

My Experience in the English Intermediate course II by Luis Angel Cruz.

My name is Luis Angel Cruz. I am 30 years old. My country is Mexico. I am studying English because I have worked in a Project Office,
and my job needed a lot of communication with people from other country. For example people from the U.S, France, England, etc. As
a result, in order to develop my professional development skills, I must speak two languages. Sometimes, I receive e-mail in English from
foreign providers with information about the equipment used or which will be used in other projects. Other reason for my decision to
study English is my desire to travel to other country in Europe and Canada. First of all, I must learn to understand their culture, gastrono-
my an live in those countries. The teacher in this intermediate class is a person who has a vocation to teach languages. He knows the way
for students to learn. Also, He also motivates his students to be better persons, professionals and to know many places. The class was
very interesting and the professor only spoke English, which made it easy and was the best way to educate the Mexican ear to constant-
ly listen to English. If someone did not understand, he would always explain and elucidate more about the theme. Our homework was
interesting, but I didnt have time to do homework because Ive la very long working day. For me , it was very difficult to work and study
at the same time. I can recommend every Mexican to take the English language class with Prof. Nchumbonga George. Thank you!

My Experiencie in the Intermediate class by Alejandra Ramirez Beatriz Hernandez.

Im Alejandra, and Im a Mexican. Im studying English because I work with North American companies, and in Mexico
nobody else import this material. Two years ago, the nephew of my boss who spoke English excellently left the job and I
decided to study English in order to fill in his place. The grammatical rules were very difficult for me. I think the problem
with me is that I like to translate literally. Another problem is that I have not master the grammar. My experience in this
intermediate level with Prof. Nchumbonga George was extraordinary. The classes were interesting because we had a for-
eign professor who was different in all aspects, beginning from his cultural aspect. The first class was a challenges for me
because the class was totally in English. I tried to understand each lesson, speak the language, but had complications when
pronouncing or giving the required accentuation. From the first time I entered the classroom and saw prof. Nchumbonga
dressed in the traditional dress of his country gave me an international experience and aspect which nourished my spirit,
and made me think of people living in another continent. It was great because it made me learn of other beliefs. However,
we share something in common which is ancestral traditions. This experience to me was a life experience which I will never forget! Thanks!
My Experience in the English Intermediate course by Milton Alexander Balderas Saldaa.
My name is Milton Alexander Balderas Saldaa. I'm 20 years old and I'm a Mexican. I am in my second year of Eco-
nomics, in my first semester of university. I realized the importance and the need to learn English in order to travel
and for the my future carrier. For this reason, I decided register for the English classes at the Economic School, where
I have observed the doors that the English language can open to you, such as understanding a song you like or even
reading new information about your career. This course (intermediate II) have opened my eyes to see beyond Mexico,
or nearby countries or those commonly spoken. Prof. Nchumbonga George taught us of about his Culture, their tradi-
tions, and the way in which they were raised. Speaking of the way in which he teaches, I have learnt so much vocabu-
lary, although sometimes it is very specific on a particular topic in life. I also learnt a lot about general culture.
My Experience in the English Intermediate course II by Laura Leticia Lugo Salcedo.
My name is Laura Leticia Lugo Salcedo. I am a Mexican and I am studying Medicine. I currently know and understand
that knowing English is indispensable for daily life and in my career, since all updated information is in English, so I
need to have a good level of English in order to understand medicine better. In addition, I would also like to travel
and know the world, and English is also indispensable for travelling, since anywhere in the world with English you
can communicate perfectly. Besides, prof. Nchumbonga George, being a great and internationally experienced person
has taught us about his culture and has given us great advice for daily life. Prof. Nchumbonga is a very good profes-
sor, who knows a lot of vocabulary about all kinds of topics. His way of teaching sometimes is a bit monotonous be-
cause he does not put any other type of didactic exercise where we can have contact with our classmates, but he is a
very good professor , and highly recommended. From this course, I have greatly improved my English skills.

My Experience in the English Intermediate II Course by Isela Vlazquez Moreno.

My name is Isela Vlazquez Moreno, Im from the City of Mxico and I work in a advertising Company in the admin-
istrative and commercial area. I decided to study English because it opens the doors to great job opportunities. In addi-
tion, is a language that I like and maybe in the future, I would like to teach it. This intermediate course was fast, but I
think that unlike the previous ones, this was more clear and I had more confidence and the opportunity to dialogue at
length in English. Professor George is a person with much experience, very positive, happy and with a great sense of
humor, which made the classes very enjoyable. It was very interesting to exchange and learns from other culture and
customs with him. Well, I think that I have had more knowledge and confidence to speaking the language, from this
course. I have also gained much confidence in myself. Thank you very much!
Regards!

My Experience in the English intermediate II course by OMAR ALEJANDRO RAMOS BETANZOS

Hi, my name is Alejandro, I am a Mexican, I am twenty three years old. I like jogging at the park. Currently, I am studying
law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). I am only left with two months to graduate with a bache-
lor's degree in law. I am studying English because learning a foreign language is a treasure. In addition, knowing the Eng-
lish language opens the doors to a better job and hence a well-paid wage. With regard to the class, I think that professor
Nchumbonga George Lekelefac has his way of teaching which is excellent, due to his great experience as a language teacher
in many countries. I was able to improve my English language skills and also to practice my English. It was a great experi-
ence for me. I am deeply grateful for such an opportunity. Thank you very much.
My Experience in the English intermediate course by Luis Herrera

My name is Luis Herrera. Im from Mexico City. I chose to study English because I think it is very necessary, not only job
purposes, but because it is a language spoken by a lot of people around the world. My history about the study of English is
very curious. When I was young, a child in fact, my father forced me to learn 40 words per day in English; currently, I for-
get a lot of those words that I learned. That was the first time that I first learnt a language. After that experience, in second-
ary school, I took English for three years, but its level was awful and, on many occasions, the professor wasnt there. In
high school, I had a similar story like in secondary school. Two years ago, I chose to learn English in CELE found in
UNAM. That was a very interesting moment in my life because, for the first time, I felt I was in the right place: the teacher
was very professional, my partners were very participatory and I was very active in class. I think the English intermediate
classes on Saturdays were very interesting because they were taught in my school. In addition, some of my economics
classmates also attended the course and lastly because the course was taught by an incredible professor called Prof.
Nchumbonga George. Sometimes, when a student says something good about his professor for purposes interest, in Mexico
we have an expression which is: hacer la barba. Well, I dont want to hacer la barba, but I want to say something about professor
Nchumbonga: he is a very good person because, even if it is not necessary, he tells us a lot of tips about everything; he has a very good sense of
humor and he tells us about his culture. I really enjoyed my classes of intermediate II. I think that best wishes is a good way to express my grati-
tude for all the things I have learnt at this level. Thank you very much!
