It might be cool to have students check their work as a class (with student explanation / justification for answers)
before passing the work in. This would give them instant feedback on their mastery of the content, and allow for
you to address any misunderstandings quickly before moving on with the lesson. We can use the TLAC "show
me" strategy where students can hold up answers in the air, giving you a quick visual scan of "did they get it, or
nah?" We can also talk strategy/procedures for checking student work, which will ultimately make your life easier
AND help students take ownership of their learning :)

I love that you are still patient, understanding, and helpful with Cash instead of getting irritated. He is definitely a
student that takes a lot of positive thinking and task reminders from you, which can be exhausting as a teacher.
You do a great job of gently nudging him back on task and handling misunderstanding instead of lecturing about
completing work.

Students are overwhelmingly on task and seem to be managing their time effectively. Circulating definitely helps
to set a high expectation for students! This proactive approach helps to prevent any potential conflicts from off-
task students.

Both of these students do better with concrete, relatable examples. I used the example of arguing over who is
stronger to highlight how language affects the strength of an argument.

I loved this example, and it worked perfectly for two of your trickiest kids! They were both totally into it
and will remember the lesson for longer now that they have feeling and memory to attach to it.

The directions for the activity are on the board, with page numbers and a countdown timer. The best part of this is
that slide took me 2 minutes to make! The use of visuals has really helped students be focused on the task.

My classroom is bright and positive. It's a happy space for kids as well as a functional classroom. I have figured
out systems for most of our daily classroom work, and the students know how and where to find the materials they
need.

One-Pagers are an AVID strategy that I use a great deal. They have simple, clear instructions that utilize a lot of
higher order thinking skills. Students are very proud of the finished product.
