Dear Colleagues,

Thanks to all of you who helped to expand our communitys horizons this
semester by participating in the enrichment lecture series. The variety of
topics was remarkable, the quality of the lectures was outstanding, and the
feedback from students, parents and teachers has been overwhelmingly
positive (92% considered the lectures to have been enriching). We are all
looking forward to the continuation of this great series next semester.

Please review the themes below and consider submitting a proposal for a
lecture on a related topic that you think would benefit any member of our
school community. Additionally, if you have an idea for a lecture that doesnt
neatly fit one of the themes, please feel free to suggest a new one. The
lectures may either be targeted to a particular, audience (Parents, teachers,
or students) grade level, or may be designed with the entire student body in
mind. Students have recently expressed a high degree of interest in learning
more about unique majors, specializations, and career options. If you have
ever had employment outside of education, this might be a great opportunity
for you to share that with the kids. They have also expressed an interest in
attending more lectures related to current events and global issues, so I also
invite you to offer some wisdom on current affairs.

Please feel free to submit applications for up to two lectures. Teachers may
also offer to co-present a lecture, in which case they would split the stipend.
Lectures may take many forms, including formal lectures, interactive
activities, discussions, etc. Of course, if you think youve already designed a
high-quality lecture for the previous advisory program, you may present on
that same theme this year.

Thank you for your time and looking forward to seeing your exciting
proposals!
