I. INTRODUCTION

Reading is a complex developmental challenge that we know

to be intertwined with many other developmental accomplishments:

attention, memory, language, and motivation, for example. Reading is

not only a cognitive psycholinguistic activity but also a social activity.

Being a good reader in means that a child has gained a functional

knowledge. That is why we should here to help them to be active in

reading, to help them to develop their thinking especially when theyre

in secondary year level.

As a future teacher I should have to experience to be effective

motivator to the emergent learners. My aim to this is to teach my

sibling to develop his skill in reading, in comprehensive and also

enhance his listening skills by his age, I want to motivate him how

reading is entertaining and helpful incomes in learning .

II. THE TEACHER'S ACT

These are the problems that the children may encounter and the

possible solutions we can give to them.

A. Problems
Jay is moody and he gets bored in reading especially when

the material use is just a plain book like English Reading

Comprehension. Since he is now in Grade 7, he can read and

comprehend the story but the problem to him is he is easily get

bored in the text especially when it is a long story. As a future

teacher, I should have to make it work. Since he is my youngest

brother, I took it as advantage. I used what topic his interested.

III. CONCLUSIONS
Therefore I conclude that Jay must:
1. Emergent Learner enhance his short term attention span in

reading and comprehending skills.

2. To be more focus on what he is reading.
3. And the teacher should guide him on what he is

comprehending in the story to know if he learned or he

understand it.
