Today, in a good occasion, I want to take a speech about Global Warming. One of the "hottest
topics in around the world. Global warming is popular topics but sometimes most of us never
realize what they had done or contribution and make our world become hotter. Maybe the first
we must define what is global warming

What is Global Warming?

Global Warming is the increase in average temperature of Earth''s land , sea and atmosphere. of
course , we already know why we often feel so hot ... That''s because the effects of global
warming already severity ..

Of course , all of us need to know the causes of global warming . In many reference, i got , some
of factors cause global warming are : 1. Greenhouse Effect 2. Feedback Effect 3. variations in the
Sun Well , it turns out we also play a very important matters and make earth condition become
worse ...

Dear my teacher and all of my beloved friends

This is our earth, our home, our life. Why we make our life and our home become worse. Save
it Let us prevent start from ourselves , and from now on , not to make matters worse our earth.
1. Efficient when we use electricity . Just Use Electricity as we needed . Do not waste electrical
energy even though we have much money to pay electricity bills .
2. Efficient use of water.
3. Planting trees or plants around us .
4. Reduct the use of motor vehicles.

Perhaps as an individual , our task and ability is so limited. Of course it is expected that the
government is more active role in preventing global warming and can be bad for Our earth. The
effect of them is returned for us, all of us . Let us prevent as much as possible the effects of
global warming.

I say again, Save Our Earth, Our Home and Our Life now and Forever

There is little doubt that the planet is warming. Over the last century, the planets temperature has
risen by around 1 degree fahrenheit (0.6 of a degree celsius). The warmest since the mid 1800s
was the 1990s. The hottest years recorded were 1997, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2003.
The United Nations panel on climate change projects that the global temperatures will rise 3-10
degrees fahrenheit by the centurys end enough to have the polar caps all but melted. If the ice
caps melt, a vast majority of our countries borders will be under water. Monuments and great
buildings, as well as homes and lives will be under water, including New York City.
So now we know what some of the causes are for global warming, how can we as individuals do
our part to help save the planet?
The answer is simpler than you may think. You dont have to go miles away from home to
protest, or spend masses of money. If you try to follow the few simple steps that I shall now give
you, you will have started to help us all.
Firstly, plant a tree. This could be easier than it sounds. Join or help out a local wildlife group
and ask to plant a tree. Trees, when fully grown, will help keep the planet cooler. On the same
point, you could protest against the demolition of the rainforests. This is the same principle, we
need the trees to cool our planet and yet they are chopping them down to create roads or homes.
Something as simple as walking instead of taking the car will help reduce pollution. As well as
stopping pollution, you are giving yourself exercise, something important for our bodies. So the
next time you get into your car, or your motorbike, think do I have to make this journey by
vehicle or can I walk?
When you are at home, and your getting a little cold. Put a jumper on and do not adjust the
heating. The extra heat produced by our homes also affects the planet. So try wearing an extra
layer in winter.
If possible, buy your fruit and vegetables from local suppliers. And try to avoid imported goods.
The more foreign food that we import the more pollution from aeroplanes and boats it will
create.
Keeping to the speed limit can also help the environment. The more you speed the more petrol
you are going to use, making the pollution higher. Also, SUVs make about six times their own
weight in CO2 each year. A small efficient diesel car covering the same distance not only uses
much less fuel; it makes two thirds less.
If possible use solar energy, after all it is free; all you need to buy is the equipment. You can get
much of your hot water and heating from the sun and even generate electricity.
Reduce, reuse and recycle. Only buy what you need; dont stock the cupboards with things you
may or may not use. Reuse whatever you can, like containers and paper, and recycle what you
cannot reuse. It really is as simple as that.
Finally turning off unused sources of power such as televisions and heaters will help the
environment, as well as save you money.
If everybody stuck to these rules, we would be doing a great thing by protecting the earth. So
please take into consideration what I have said, and try to do your part. After all, it will be our
next generation that will feel the effects.

In this chance, I would like to tell you my speech that has the theme Go Green!

Saving Our Planet is a program that was persuading the earthlings so that they would become
more concern and care to their entire environment. It was because the civilization that has been
created by the modern people in this millennium era had affected so many destructive impacts
which are really needed to be concerned. These impacts are causing a new problem, The Global
Warming. In prediction, that in the last 100 years the temperatures of our planet has increased
by 1 every year. Meanwhile, the ocean surface has increased for about 1 meter from its former
level. The problem is, modern people not only wanted to increase their prosperity, but also
increase their rate of comfortable & luxurious life.

First of all, lets thank Allah SWT because his blessings, we all can gather here on this
sunny morning. Shalawat and prayer, we send to our greatest prophet Muhammad SAW, his
family, his friends and his followers. Amen.

Friends, the best friend on earth of man is the tree. When we use the tree respectfully
and economically, we have one of the greatest resources of the Earth. That is what
architect Frank Lloyd Wright said.

Trees are indeed the symbol of peace, serenity, and prosperity. In some researches prove that one
hectare of green open space that is filled with big trees produces 0,6 tons of oxygen for 1.500
people a day and absorbs 2,5 tons of carbon dioxide every year. 6 kilogram of carbon dioxide in
each tree a year would 900 meters cubic ground water, transfers water 4.000 liters a day,
decrease the temperature by 5 8 degrees Celsius, muffle noises by 25 80 percent, and reduce
wind power by 75 80 percent.

From that explanation its ascertained that trees are very useful for human. Oddly, why
does human wont understand? An ironic real example is a major wood logging that
contributes twenty percent pollution caused by the obstructed carbon dioxide absorption.
Forest defoliation that doesnt follow rules made erosion and wildlife extinction a major problem
for environmental preservation

Since the issue of globalism and modernization sounded, countries compete to beautify their own
country. All the area is converted into the magnificent and high classy buildings. Technology
which is too over, the sophistication which is too revolutionary make the longer growing tree
extinct. Earth like breathing in the mud, tightness! Is it too difficult to see a realize the fact?
Hasnt the fact already shown itself bluntly? The hotter earth, the holes ozone layer, the increases
global warming, the spreading flood and pollution becomes insoluble problems, and people keep
stay on egos. Isnt enough, guys? Will we be just like immoral man, let the earth dying?

Friends, remember, human was made by God with mind and conscience. They are hoped
to become the leader for nature, which is Gods mandate to human. But now look at that fact?
Man has got rid of their conscience. Stick the root of individualism deep in their heart.
Discard their hearing far away until they are unable to hear the scream and cry of nature. Close
their eyes, deflect it against natures ruin, destroyed, with no trace.

Friends, there is little hope for this earth. Expectations that can make earth return to
smile. Behind the deterioration of mind, there are few humans who still have a conscience.
Their ears still hear the screams of nature. Their eyes were still wide open to see a reality. And
their hearts still can feel the nature grievance. Friends, do you want to know who are they?

Listen to me very carefully. Thats you. YOURSELVES. Yes, youre the small but a bright hope
that will grow into a great light. A light in the darkness!

Friends, actually it is just easy for you but its great for nature. You just to do protect trees, live it,
give it the freedom to protect earth and make it smile. Dont let any government
program aground in the middle of the way, one man one tree, its means one man for one breath
of life. Support with real action. Because todays concern, for something better in the future.

Honorable my teacher and my beloved friends. In this opportunity I would like to deliver a
speech entitled environmental damage in Indonesia.
First of all let us deliver our biggest thanks to almighty God, because we can be gathered here
through His blessing.
Ladies and gentlemen, as we know nowadays every human activities are affected by the amount
of nature resources and energy in our country. Most industrial sector in Indonesia utilize the
natural resources and energy to run their production. By the reason, natural reservation is very
important to save our nature. Nature is a place for human and living things to live in. If we use
them in irresponsible way, it would cause serious damage. The smash up weve made to our
beloved nature is as same as self destruction to our selves. Why I said so? Because a country is
connected to other country as well as the nature. Thats why every country on earth has the
responsibility to protect our earth and prevent it from destruction.
The effects of the environmental damage are:
Global warming: as we know we already felt it all over the world as well as in our country,
Indonesia.
Air temperature is increasing.
Sea level is rising, and will submerge small islands and lands around the coast.
Climate change and extreme weather which can be seen in many places around the world also in
Indonesia.
Beside these four effects, earth and our environment have other threats as acid rain and natural
disasters all over the country. These phenomenas must have a link to the environmental damage
that occurs. If the causes of these damages are not handled well, it surely makes it getting worse
and harmful to all living things on earth.
The largest contributor for this damage is pollution that is caused by coal combustion of big
industrial factories.
Green house effect is the effect of the combustion and it is also caused global warming. The
environmental damage can be reduced by putting garbage in the trash bin, reforestation, and keep
our environment clean and safe. Go green or planting one tree each person could also reduce
global warming. Remember, STOP GLOBAL WARMING.
