Abstract:
This article aims to analyze the Contemporary Architecture proposed by the Mexican
architect Fernando Romero. Cities and Latin American buildings continue to figure
prominently in the history of architecture. In fact, attention to architectural production in
this part of the world has grown from the first decade of this century. It could be argued
that contemporary Latin American architects are getting more international recognition
as never had before. An active agent in the reconfiguration of the site and public space,
Fernando Romero commitment to translate historical, social, economic and
environmental contexts in contemporary urban destinations have attracted the attention
of critics and attracted millions of visitors, generating a positive impact on cities and
communities. In the past 15 years, Fernando Romero has proposed projects in a
number of countries covering different programs and contexts, from office buildings to
museums and dense urban centers and desert.
