COMMUNITY INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES

1996-2001 and 2004-2008 Jesus People USA Chicago, IL

Due to a desire to broaden my personal life experience and contribute to those less
fortunate, after High School I made a move to the vibrant inner city Christian mission, Jesus
People USA (JPUSA). A member of the Evangelical Covenant (Evangelical Covenant)
denomination, the church mission is internationally recognized for its contemporary
Christian music, arts and music festival, culturally relevant magazine, and extensive
services to the poor. While at the mission, I enthusiastically contributed my time and skills
in some of the jobs noted above as well as assisted homeless families at the mission’s
shelter, contributed childcare assistance to missionary families, and served meals to low-
income senior citizens.

These incredible life experiences have left me with an overflowing compassion for others,
one I will carry with me always.

2006 to 2008 Swing Dance Chicago, Windyhop Chicago, IL

2008 to present Burn Blue, Hepcat Productions, East Side Stomp Seattle Washington

In 2006, I began doing freelance promotions for local bands and venues in the swing
community; writing reviews, promoting events, connecting new dancers and offering free
marketing to the swing community in Chicago. On my move to Seattle, I connected with the
Blues Community and have been doing marketing and promotions for them, including
events planning, technical support, freelance graphic design, venue openings, as well as
networking and helping with local classes, bands and venues.

Dancing is my passion; it keeps you fit, connects you with amazing people, grows your
network of support, and you can never be unhappy on the dance floor…even when you
dance the Blues.
