Newsletter of Archer United Methodist Church APRIL 2017- Volume 4

Easter is often recognized as time of new life. The New Covenant was made
possible because Christ was able to conquer death for us, and Christs resurrect
tion was proof of the new life to come for all who believe in Him. The idea of
new life is really more relevant to me this year as I prepare to give birth and
move into the next chapter of our lives.

Primghar and Archer have allowed my family to truly experience what it is to be whole. Our
family was able to sincerely feel at home in this community. Tommy and Kezy s favorite
times came last summer when they were able to attend VBS in Primghar, Archer, and Peter-
son, as well as being able to host the young people who were leading the VBS program in
Primghar. Tommy and Kezy also really appreciated being able to go to camp at Okoboji with
their friends. These are opportunities we may not have been able to experience other-
wise. Duane and I were very happy to host the open house and show all that we have been
able to do at the parsonage as well as hosting Dr. Who and Harry Potter Bible Studies.

In the next month our lives are really about to change. God is blessing us with a new mem-
ber of our family, and we are also moving on to the next chapter of our lives. While we do not
know for sure right now where we will be going, we know that God is watching us and will
continue to bless us as Duane seeks a Call and I move from parish ministry to diaconal minis-
try.

My wish is that you are able to bless the next pastor with even more love than we were able
to experience while we were here. The seeds are planted, and new life is ready to spring up
all around, Easter is coming, and new life is preparing to enter.
