Calculations: Need to devote:

5 periods a week, with 240 minutes over the week (3x50 minute periods, Nature of Business 24 hours 20% of entire time = 6 weeks
and 2x45 minute periods) Business Management 48 hours 40% of entire time = 12 weeks
This results in 4 hours a week of Business Studies, which totals to exactly Business Planning 48 hours 40% of entire time = 12 weeks
120 hours overall over 3 terms.
Backup Plan for if/when interruptions to teaching result in insufficient hours devoted to the subject:
However, given that teaching doesnt always go to plan, and there will definitely be interruptions, there will be issues in meeting 120 hours for Year 11. There
are 2 intended solutions to this problem:
1. If/when we are behind on hours, Year 11 students will skip sport for a few weeks and do the subjects for which they are not meeting the hours
requirements in the first 2 periods of Wednesday.
2. Failing that, we will spend a few weeks at the start of Term 4 of Year 11 and finish off all content as well as meet all time requirements. This will not
jeopardise the time requirements for Year 12, as the HSC course also only requires 120 hours, but over 4 terms rather than 3 terms.
