5.01 GENERAL
A. Submit lightning protection specifications, diagrams and/or drawings, and master label
certificate to Owner for approval.
B. Submit all ballasts to Owner for approval.

C. Submit all light fixtures to Owner for approval.


D. Submit lighting plan to Owner for approval prior to installation.
E. Submit electrical drawings required for this project to owner for approval prior to
installation.

PART 7 QUALITY TESTING REQUIRED FOR THIS DIVISION


7.01 INSPECTION
A. All electrical work shall be inspected by local inspecting authority before concealment,
if required. Contractor shall uncover work concealed and not inspected if so directed by
the inspecting authority, at no additional cost to the Owner.
7.02 SERVICE ENTRANCE CABLES
A. The Contractor shall test all secondary service entrance cables and terminals, etc., for
shorts and ground prior to energizing. Service entrance cables shall be meggered to
ground and shall have a resistance to ground of one million ohms or better.
7.03 ADJUSTMENT
A. The system shall be tested, adjusted, and balanced for proper operation. The Owner
and/or his official representative shall be instructed in its use and shown all controls and
operating procedures. The operation of this system shall be demonstrated in the
presence of the Owner and Contractor.
7.04 HORSEPOWER
A. Check the horsepower of all motors connected against the size of circuit breakers,
contactors, and heater elements in the starters.
7.05 TESTING OF MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
A. Test all mechanical equipment connected to ensure proper rotation and balanced
phasing in coordination with the Contractor.
PART 8 DRAWINGS
8.01 ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS
A. Provide all wiring as described in the electrical data sheets and specifications.
8.02 STRUCTURAL AND MECHANICAL DRAWINGS
A. Check all drawings to coordinate locations of conduit and equipment with structural or
other requirements.

8.01 SHOP DRAWINGS


A. Provide shop drawings for record purposes. Copies shall be gathered into a tabbed 3
ring notebook. Two (2) complete copies shall be presented to the General Contractor at
the end of construction. Shop drawing manual shall include the following sections:
1. Light fixtures.
2. Switchboard, panelboards, transformers.
3. MCCs.
4. Individual starters and overload relays.
8.04 MASTER SET
A. The electrical contractor shall maintain a master set of electrical drawings with all
changes made on them. At the end of construction, the electrical contractor shall
provide two sets of as built drawings and one set of reproducible drawings.
PART 9 PROTECTION
9.01 GENERAL
A. Furnish and install a color-coded warning stripe to be buried above all underground
electrical lines. Installation shall be performed in such a manner that will adequately
warn any future excavators of the presence of buried lines.
