Great Wall Motor Company Limited is Chinas largest SUV and pickup manufacturer. We were listed on the Hong Kong
Stock Exchange in 2003 and the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2011. By December 31, 2012, our assets had amounted
to 42.569 billion yuan. Now we own Haval and Great Wall brands, covering three main categories: SUV, passenger car

Product Strategy
We persist in focused development, uphold the brand concept of "focus, dedication and specialization", and build
specialized brands through specialized operation and management. With Haval and Great Wall brands, we primarily
develop and manufacture 4.3m+ SUV models. Great Wall brand covers passenger car, mini SUV, pickup and MPV.
Since 2012, we have mapped out a marketing strategy of achieving the primary goal of "customer satisfaction" and
"market lead", taken a series of measures through marketing service innovation and reform to enhance our terminal
image and service quality, oriented human financial and material resources on customer satisfaction, and created
"surprise for customers" through value services to constantly enhance customer satisfaction.
Market Performance
We have kept ahead in domestic and overseas markets. At home, Haval SUV has retained the domestic sales title
for ten consecutive years, took the lead in selling over 1,000,000 units in March 2013 to become No. 1 SUV brand
in China; Great Wall pickup has led the domestic market in terms of market share and sales for 15 consecutive
years. Single Great Wall passenger cars have ranked among the top 10 passenger vehicles in terms of sales for
consecutive months, and contributed cumulative sales of over 300,000 units in a few years, thus becoming budding
stars in the family car market.
At abroad, since our first export in 1998, we have ranked top for consecutive years in terms of export volume and
export value; we have exported vehicles to regions like Europe, Australia, Africa, Central and South America, the
Middle East and Asia Pacific, of which Russia, Australia, Chile and South Africa have become our key export
destinations. Also, we have built a dozen KD plants in countries like Russia, Bulgaria, Ecuador, Iran and Egypt.
Independent R&D
Aiming for the world, we integrate global technical resources for innovative R & D, own world-class R & D equipment
and systems, have been accredited as a "state-accredited enterprise technology center" and a "post-doctoral research
workstation" by five ministries and commissions including the National Development and Reform Commission and the
Ministry of Science and Technology, and were named a "national innovation-oriented enterprise" in February 2011. We
now have an R & D team of over 6,500 members, and will continue to expand the team to over 10,000 members by
2015.
To date, our "four centers" (test center, trial-manufacturing center, modeling center and power center) have been up to
world leading and domestic leading standards. We are capable of designing and developing SUV, passenger car and
pickup series as well as powertrain, and developing a dozen models simultaneously. In fields such as engine,
transmission, vehicle modeling, vehicle design, CAE and test, we have formed independent technologies, standards and
intellectual property.
We have kept to a strategy of "excessive investment" in technical R & D and pursue industrial lead. We have invested
over 4 billion yuan in R & D since 2006 and will invest a total of 8 billion yuan by 2015
By late October 2010, GWM's new technical center with a total investment of 5 billion yuan had broken ground.
Expected to go into operation in 2014, it will consist of nine world leading centers: the test center is capable of
conducting multiple tests covering safety, emission, vehicle, chemical materials, parts and NVH, and the new
laboratories include environmental simulation laboratory, EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) laboratory and power
assembly performance/NVH laboratory. The trial-manufacturing center has a flexible body welding line and assembly
stations, is capable of trial-manufacturing tooling/fixture and designing rapid tooling and gauges, undertakes the
trial-manufacturing of prototypes of all models developed by the technical center, and has the capability to manufacture
individual commercial vehicles; the modeling center is equipped with world leading data measuring equipment. Of the
equipment, double-cantilever coordinate measuring machine, FARO flexible coordinate measuring machine, KREON
laser scanning system, virtual reality review system, interactive touch review system and digital vehicle processing
system were up to world leading standards; the power center has established a perfect independent R & D system
integrating six core capabilities: benchmark, design, CAE, NVH, calibration and testing. "Excessive investment" in
technical R & D has laid a solid foundation for GWM's continuous independent innovation.
Outlook
With the mission of serving the country through industrial development, we aspire to be an outstanding representative of
Chinese independent auto brands and strive to fulfill the dream of building China into an auto power.
According to our development plan, we will achieve the goal of manufacturing 1.5 million units and selling 1.3 million
units by 2015.

The Modeling Center is the important integration of the Great Wall Motors Technology Center with a professional design team of more
than 300 staff members. It is responsible for modeling design in the complete vehicle development process. It can design 9 cars' shape

NVH Performance Development

Based on the complete vehicle NVH performance positive development technologies, it sets the vibration noise performance analysis
and complete vehicle NVH performance goal setting and breakdown as the core. It studies key technologies including noise
source/vibration excitation identification and separation, and the NVH performance control of the powertrain and the vehicle body,
establishing the noise vibration performance control technology platform for independently-developed vehicle.
Scan Molding
It possesses 1 unit of GOM 3D camera measuring machine (Germany), 5 units of FARO scanning measuring machine (USA) and 2
units of KREON scanner (France). Its capable to complete the complete vehicle surface scanning within 4 hours and obtain 5-8 millions
high density 3D data points. Its present scanning ability has reached the internationally advanced level.

It includes two parts - the complete vehicle weather resistance test room and the parts weather resistance test room. The complete

temperature highly humid cabin. In 2008, it has the complete vehicle enhanced corrosion resistance test ability which is nationally

It covers approximately 34,000 square meters and is used to manufacture large covers of vehicle body and main stamping parts of
250,000 units of SUVs and sedans. It is equipped with six-axis automatic production line from ABB (Switzerland) which is the first
automatically frame-fitting system in China. The independently-developed production line features low cost and high efficiency; it has
internationally-advanced entire line closing technology in Press machine; in addition, it is equipped with the high-level production
monitoring system and the one-key automatic touching system which may save labors and energy and increase efficiency.
It covers an area of 20,000 square meters, with a total investment of nearly 300 million RMB. The designed beat is 72 seconds. Hourly

Digital Welding Workshop High Standards Assembly Workshop

It covers an area of about 67,000 square meters. According to the technical characteristics, it is classified by working areas for body
adjusting line, main welding line, front/rear floor line, and five doors and one cover line, and side wall lines. The entire production line is
the high-level sedan welding and assembly line in China. To ensure the quality of welding, all spot welders are designed with dotting
counting function. The main body welding production line is an internationally-advanced production line. Through the information system
management and the flexible fixture design, it can make it possible to manufacture three different car models simultaneously. It just
takes 10s to transfer one car model to another model. It may realize the multi-frequency small-batch production.
It covers an area of about 86,000 square meters, and is currently the largest workshop in the GWM. It is a flexible production line, realizing
mixed production of different car models. Almost 100 million RMB was invested on this assembly workshop with designed beat of 62 seconds
and production capacity of 250,000 units, meeting off line standard "zero commissioning". No. 1 interior line and no.2 interior line use GLF
logistics manner to reduce wrong installation and missed installation items and increase the assembly efficiency. The transportation of the
chassis assembly line is by H-shaped hanger in friction. The chassis general assembly line #1 uses internationally-advanced integrated
automatic tracking assembly AGV trolley which features automatic navigation, automatic tracking and correct assembling.
