when using varying sizes of elements.

The clamps in the horizontal and verti-

cal profiles stiffen the system result-
ing in a panelling effect in the whole
support-structure which additionally
increases its stiffness. Horizontal and
vertical aluminium profiles can be
drilled and cut-to-size on-site without
specialist tools.

Less fixing points for retaining brackets
and support straps reduce the number
of thermal bridges. Stainless steel has a
fourteen times lower thermal conduc-
tivity than aluminium. By developing

effective products HALFEN help to
fulfil the increasing stringent regula-
tions for thermal insulation and build-
ing heat loss.

The faade panels are fixed (with

clamps) to the horizontal profiles. The
clamps allow vertical adjustment of the
faade panels of 10 mm. The hori-
zontal profiles can be vertically adjust-
ed by 20 mm. Stand-off installations
in the vertical profiles can be adjusted
by 10 mm using the pressure-tension
restraint. The large adjustment range
ensures uniform joints. Stand-off instal-
lations of 150 to 350 mm are possible.
