OFMsupportsEnglish,Spanish,andRussianlanguages.Bydefault,OFMselectsalanguage
basedonyouroperatingsystemlanguage.
IfOFMselectsSpanishorRussianasthedefaultlanguage,thefirsttimeyourunOFM,the
systemwillaskifyouprefertorunOFMinEnglish.IfyouchooseEnglish,OFMyoumust
restartOFMtoopenitinEnglish.
WhenworkinginOFM,remember:
YoucancreateanewworkspaceinanysupportedlanguagefromPI/Dwightsdata,but
theworkspacethatiscreatedwillcontainEnglishtableandcolumnnames.
WBDequipmentisnottranslatedtotheRussianorSpanishlanguages.
Theforecastcalculatedphasetype,WellDeliverability,isnottranslatedtotheRussianor
Spanishlanguages.
ThefilessupportinglanguagesareinseparatefoldersintheOFMinstallationdirectory.

ItispossibletouseSpanishorRussiannameswhenbuildingyourworkspace,including:

However,ifyourworkspacemaybesharedamonguserswhorunOFMinotherlanguages,
werecommendlimitingthecharactersinthosenamestotheEnglishcharactersetsothe
characterswillbevalidinallsupportedlanguages.

LanguageSettingsandWorkspaces
Whenyoucreateanewworkspace,OFMusesdefaultvaluesthatarespecifictothecurrent
OFMlanguagesettingforthedatelabel,colornames,units,multipliers,andwellsymbols.
Whenyouchangelanguages,OFMdoesnottranslatethecontentsofyourworkspace;it
translatesonlytheinterface.

ChangingYourOFM ChangeyourOFMlanguagesettingwhenyouwanttousedefaultvaluesthatarespecificto
LanguageSetting English,Russian,orSpanish.

ToChangeYourOFMLanguageSetting
1 InOFM,clicktheWorkspacetabandclickOptions.
2 IntheOptionsdialogbox,clicktheLanguagetab.
3 Selectoneofthefollowingoptions,andthenclickOK.
IfyouwanttheOFMlanguagetobeEnglish,selectUseOFMdefaultlanguage
(EnglishUSA).
IfyouwanttheOFMlanguagetobethesameasyourWindows settings,selectUse
systemdefaultlanguage.
IfyouwanttheOFMlanguagetobeRussianorSpanish,selectSelectavailable
language.

4 RestartOFMtoapplythesetting.

SettingtheW indows IftheselectedOFMlanguageisnotEnglish,thesystemlocaleforyouroperatingsystem

SystemLocaleforOFM mustmatchyourOFMlanguage.

ToSelectanAlternateSystemLocaleLanguage
1 ClicktheWindowsStartbutton.
2 Inthesearchbox,typeRegionandLanguageandthenclickRegionandLanguagein
results.
3 IntheRegionandLanguagedialogbox,clicktheAdministrativetab.
4 ChangethesystemlocaletothelanguageyouareusinginOFM.
5 Optionally,clicktheFormatstabandselectthelanguageyouareusinginOFMinthe
Formatlist.
6 Restartyourcomputertoapplythechange.

(Optional)Changing AlthoughnotrequiredforOFM,youcanalsochangetheWindowsdisplaylanguagefor
theW indowsDisplay languagespecificversionsofcommondialogboxes,systemmenuitems,andHelpcontent

OpeningaWorkspace IfyouopenanOFMworkspacethatwascreatedorsavedinaanotherlanguage,youwillbe
SavedwithAnother askedifyouwanttoopentheworkspaceanyway.Ifyouconfirmthatyouwanttoopenthe
Language workspace,OFMwillopenit.However,iftheworkspacecontainsnonEnglishcharacters,
thenonEnglishcharactersmaynotbedisplayed.Inaddition,iftheworkspacetables,
columns,orcalculatedvariablescontainnonEnglishcharacters,OFMwillnotbeableto
performcalculations.BoththesystemlocaleandtheOFMlanguagemustmatchthe
workspacelanguagetoensurefullOFMfunctionality.
