American Survival Guide, Flea Market Dcor, Cottages & Bungalows,
Gun World, Romantic Homes, and Diesel World) has proven over the
years to successfully fulfill the needs of our readers, advertisers, and
retailers.

We have over 15 websites as well as various digital phone apps that

bring our content to digital readers as well as those who desire print
magazines. We strategically utilize multiple office settings around the
world, including India and the Philippines, and are able to provide some
of the best products in the business that provides growth and return in
the United States. Our headquarters are in Orange County, California.

We have an opening for an Editorial Intern. Below are some of the

Engaged Media Inc. is looking for an intern to work with our homes group and assist
with all facets of editing, writing and administrative duties integral to consumer magazine
production. Duties will be divided between our main dcor titles, as well as opportunity
to write for our entertainment and history magazines. Writing and editing tests may be
required. Internships with our automotive, sports and outdoors titles may also be
available.
The position will provide a comprehensive experience in magazine publishing, provide
excellent clips for your portfolio and include the following responsibilities:

1. Writing. Interns will be given various writing assignments based on skill level and
interest.

2. Editing. Interns will assist with all aspects of editing and proofing manuscripts and
layouts.

3. Production. Interns will work with editors on creative projects produced and shot for
the magazines. Duties may include product pickup and ship-back, and Internet/catalog
research.

4. Multi-media management. Interns will assist with developing original online content
for magazine websites as well as posting archived materials from past issues on various
social media outlets.

5. Interns will assist editors by responding to queries and requests for information from
readers and publicists.

6. Administration. Interns will work with the managing editor to put each issue to bed
by properly filing manuscripts and photography, and by mailing comp copies as
requested.

These are paid positions for 820 hours per week, as the interns schedule allows.
Engaged Media Magazines, the company that owns Romantic Homes, Cottages &
Bungalows and Flea Market Dcor, can work with the chosen candidates college to
ensure that the appropriate credits are earned upon completion of the internship. The
selected intern will have his/her own desk and an assigned schedule, mutually agreed
upon by the editors and intern.

Interns should have a minimum 3.0 GPA and excellent communication skills, as PR is an
integral part of the position.
