Re: Gabriela Rios

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Gabriela Rios. I have known Gabi for the last two years as her mathematics
and Family teacher during the last of my six years at Nova Academy Early College High School. Gabi is an
exceptional student who embodies tenacity, intelligence, and diligence.

I have had the distinct pleasure of having Gabi as a student in my Family class, Novas equivalent to Advisory,
during her Junior year. However, because of the small size of Nova Academy, I knew much about Gabi before
ever meeting her as my colleagues had only the best things to say about her as a student and member of our
schools community. Although Gabi was already taking Statistics last year, she made the decision to also enroll in
my Pre-Calculus course to ensure she be able to take as many mathematics courses as possible before graduation.
She maintained As in both classes and is now enrolled in Advanced Placement Calculus. As she was taking two
drastically different mathematics courses at once, her efforts in my course display her consistency, aptitude, and
desire for success. Gabi strives for exceptionality and that effort is evident in everything she produces. Gabi
works hard to ensure she turns in top-notch work whether it be a homework assignment, in-class activity, test, or
long-term project. Her diligence reflects the intrinsic importance she places on academic excellence.

Gabi has taken advantage of the many opportunities Nova provides its students. She has not only taken Advanced
Placement courses, but she also has taken courses at Santa Ana College, and through the University of California,
Irvine Extension program. She has proven her abilities with excellent grades in high school, community college,
and university courses. She has remained one of our top students while taking advantage of this undeniably
rigorous academic program.

Gabi is also involved in Novas Student Ambassadors where she does community outreach to both prospective
donors and students while also participating in volunteer work with throughout the year. In addition, she is the
President of the Harry Potter Club, Co-Editor of the Yearbook, and Secretary of the Yearbook Club. Gabi is also
in charge of organizing and executing the schools annual Blood Drive this year. Outside of school, Gabi is able to
share her academic gifts through a tutoring program with elementary school students after school each day. It is
clear that she maintains this personal balance well and is able to take time to enjoy her passions while continuing
to be an exceptional student.

Gabis peers, my fellow teachers and I will always hold her in the highest esteem so I sincerely recommend
Gabriela Rios as the ideal candidate for any institution that she seeks admission.

Respectfully,
