Elisabeth is an artist. She is my younger sister.
She loves to draw. She likes it since she was a kid.

Adam is a very famous chef.

Barbara wants a dog. She lives alone, so she thinks a dog can be a
very nice friend.
She decides to go to a pet shop. Barbara sees the animals at the pet

6- The bakery
Oliver is hungry so he decides to walk to the bakery.
He is not sure what he wants to eat, but at the bakery there are a lot
of options.
It is late. The sky is dark.
He arrives at the bakery and asks for a ham and cheese sandwich.
It costs two dollars.
He also buys a Coke.
It costs fifty cents.
He sits down, eats his sandwich and drinks his Coke. Now he feels
great. He goes to the counter, pays and walks back home.
On his way home he thinks about something sweet, so he goes back
to the bakery and buys a chocolate bar.
Now it`s just perfect. He is ready to go home and watch TV before

My name is Felix. I am a businessman.

I have a clothing shop at the mall.

8- Vacation

One of my favorite vacation places is Brazil.

I really like the weather there because it never gets cold and the people
are very friendly too.
They never laugh at my poor Portuguese and they are very helpful.
The food is really good. I love Brazilian food.
Rio de Janeiro City is a very interesting place to visit. It has some great
places to visit and lots of fascinating beaches.
The hotels are too expensive to stay but there are more affordable
options.
A nice place to stay is at one of the beach resorts in Copacabana.
If you are planning to visit Brazil, you should definitely see the Christ
redeemer and the sugar loaf. You are definitely going to love it!

9- At the beach
Last summer, my parents decided to spend our vacation at the beach
because the weather was very good.
The travel agent said that traveling by bus was the cheapest way, but
we went by plane because it was faster.
We wanted to have more time to spend at the beach. The weather was
beautiful and we had a great time.

Jennifer is a young teacher.
Jennifer loves shoes. Since she was a kid she liked to have different colors
of shoes.
Now she has an old pair of black shoes that she wears to work. She goes to
work six days a week.
She loves her job. She is a happy teacher.
She works at a nice school. The school is not near her home, it is far. She
takes a bus to go to work and sometimes her father gives her a lift.
At work she stands up all day long, she only sits down when the students

Mike has a grocery shop downtown.

But the shop is full of mice. They live in that grocery shop. There is
food everywhere.
They eat everything and spoil all the bags.
They also waste the bread, biscuits and fruits of the shop. The grocer is
really worried. So, he thought "I should buy a cat and let it stay at the
grocery. It is the only way I can save my shop."

13- The silence

John is a good man. He lives in a farm. One day he discovered that he

lost his watch.
It is not an ordinary watch because it has sentimental value for him.
After looking for it all around the house, he decides to give up and
ask for some help from a group of children playing outside.
He promised the kids that the person who finds it will be rewarded.
Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn.
They went through and around the entire place but still could not
find the watch.
