1. INTRODUCTION:

Faisalabad, the third most densely populated city of Pakistan and

second most populated city of Punjab with a population approximately
3.1 million, its average population growth rate between 1990 and
2013 was approximately 3.2%, which is above the national average.
This population growth is in part due to emerging industrial growth
over the same period, particularly in the textile industry.
In Faisalabad City WASA Faisalabad, is responsible for Water Supply
which is about 98% dependent on groundwater as a water source. The
FWASA has been developing, with the support of donors, water
resources and water supply facilities such as the project with the aid of
French Government Sponsored project to develop construct and
operation of purification plant. The water facilities at Chenab are vital
in terms of Faisalabad Citys water supply, because they supply about
55% of the total water volume for the city.

2. OBJECTIVE:

The purpose of hiring the consultant is to locate / pin point the

operational constraints of the Jhal Water Treatment Plant Phase-1
(JWTP) through an individual expert/consultant in order to make it
possible & to ensure the safe, smooth & efficient operation of plant.

3. OVERALL SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIES OF CONSULTANT

The work under the consultancy, for the trouble free operation of the
Surface Water Treatment Plant (10 MGD), will mainly consist of:-
Operational process of water treatment plant in manual and
auto mode (both)
Timely inspection for routine maintenance of all equipments
installed at water treatment plant
Development of check lists/ maintenance schedule for all the
equipments
 Capacity building of WTPs staff.
4.TIME PERIOD
Time period of employment will be 04 months.

5. QUALIFICATION
Minimum qualification: DAE (Electrical, Mechanical,
Instrument).

6. EXPERIENCE
Minimum experience of 10 years with Multi-national firms.
The candidate having more experience and foreign experience
will be preferred.

7. SELECTION CRITERIA

* The Post is on temporarily basis for period of 4-months. If

interview is not conducted then 15 marks awarded to each
