A balance of senior experience and

group of young players led the Verona
boys hockey team to its first Big Eight
Conference title in three years. And
although the team finished a game shy of
the WIAA state tournament, the Wildcats
had plenty to be proud of, including the
selection of five players to the all-confer-
ence team last week.

Dozens of families came to the Verona Area High School kids carnival event Saturday. Kids had the chance to try out
