SAFEGUARDING RESONSIBILITIES SUMMARY
Safeguarding and Child Protection is the responsibility of all adult members of The
Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School. The Safeguarding Team consists of:

Miss Lisa Considine, Behaviour Support Manager and Deputy Safeguarding

Our lead governor responsible for safeguarding practice within the school is
Mrs E Tabony
In the absence of Mr O'Reilly, the designated Safeguarding and Child Protection
Load is Miss L Considine will take responsibility for such issues. If neither colleague
is available, please see another member of the Safeguarding Team.
Confidentiality
Governors accept that Child Protection raises issues of confidentiality which
must be clearly understood by all staff. The Govemors expect all staff to
‘ollow the guidance on confidentiality in accordance with data protection and
Local Authority guidance on information sharing
