Hikvision Certification Program

SCOPE
Hikvisions Certification Program trains security engineers to install and operate Hikvision devices, design
related projects, and solve a host of security solution problems. With this program, security engineers will
demonstrate their skill and expertise in advanced video surveillance integration.

PURPOSE
To provide industry-standard certification for advanced levels of expertise in video surveillance
integration.
To train individuals to master the installation of Hikvision video surveillance solutions.
To elevate successful participants among competition, making them more desirable to end users
when selecting a video surveillance integrator.

CERTIFICATION LEVELS
Hikvision Certified Security Associate (HCSA):
The Hikvision Certified Security Associate level certification focuses on training participants in
essential operation & maintenance of Hikvision security products. It is designed for technical
engineers who have worked in the security industry for several years and have already gained
some security basics.
Hikvision Certified Security Professional (HCSP):
The Hikvision Certified Security Professional level certification focuses on advanced technical
operation and foundational training on Hikvisions security products. It is designed for specialists
with at least 3 years security experience who are accomplished at solving complicated technical
problems. Trainee must pass the HCSA certifications first before applying for the HCSP.
Hikvision Certified Security Expert (HCSE):
The Hikvision Certified Security Expert level certification focuses on training participants in
security system design with Hikvision products. It is designed for technical elites who design
entire security systems and provide vertical solutions. Trainee must pass HCSA & HCSP
certifications before applying for the HCSE.

COURSE DESIGN

Hikvision Certified Security Associate (HCSA):

Training Objectives:
o Learn the fundamentals of video surveillance
o Become familiar with Hikvisions cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and other products
o Master the essential configuration of Hikvision devices
o Overcome general installation challenges using Hikvision devices

Product Training and Related Topics:

o Network basics, Turbo HD, IP Cameras, PTZ Cameras, DVRs & NVRs, VMS, Smart topics

Hikvision Certified Security Professional (HCSP):

Training Objectives:
o Master the core technologies of Hikvision devices
o Master advanced functions and configurations of Hikvision devices
o Solve difficult issues using Hikvision devices

Product Training and Related Topics:

o Hikvisions Professional VMS, thermal technology, panoramic technology, ANPR, network
storage, decoders & displays, mobile solutions

Hikvision Certified Security Expert (HCSE):

Training Objectives:
o Design entire security systems with Hikvision devices
o Master the available vertical solutions

CANDIDATES
To become certified, individuals must be well-versed in Hikvision products and solutions, the
latest network video technologies, and best-practice techniques.
Hikvision will determine the candidates eligibility to enroll in a certification course.

TESTING
Tests will be arranged at the end of the training and will include theoretical and operational
components. A passing score is 80% or greater. Those who pass the test will receive a certificate
of successful completion from Hikvision.
Successful participants will be notified by E-mail. Individuals who score lower than 80% can
request to retake the test within 90 days.

CERTIFICATE
Hikvision will issue a certificate to participants who score a passing grade on the test.
All certifications are valid for 24 months from the date recorded on the participants certificate of
completion. In the event a successful participant changes employers within that time, Hikvision
will confirm their certification with the new employer for the duration of the period.

CERTIFICATE SAMPLE

Successful participants should allow up to 2 months to receive their certificate.

RECERTIFICATION
Considering the accelerated rate of the introduction of new technologies and products in the
security industry, Hikvision requires that certified professionals recertify their credential by
retaking the exam. Recertification candidates must retake the exam before their current
certification is expired.

Trainee can register 3 months prior to his/her certification expiration date to renew the
certificate; otherwise, qualification will be invalidated.
