Activity: Man in the middle
Source: Internship coordinator
Equipment Needed: Rubber kick ball

Activity Description:

1. Participants sit in a big circle.
2. One participant stands in the middle and everyone takes ten steps back and sits on the
floor.
3. The objective of this activity is to roll the ball into the person standing in the middle.(
Below the waist)
4. If the person in the middle is touched by the ball, they sit down and the person that hit
them with the ball is in the middle.

Leadership considerations:
For individuals with fine motor disorders it would give them the ability to move around
and to use their legs, arm, feet, and whole body movements. It would create
movements for individuals that they are not use too.
Although the game might be difficult for others, I would take in consideration making
creating small groups so it would not be such big groups.
Using softer or smaller objectives that would not effect individuals by getting hit by the
ball.
While playing this activity with kids that have ADHD, it would give them opportunities to
release their energy while playing the game. Creating an environment that would help
them focus their energy on rolling and trying to catch hit the person with the ball in the
middle.
To create a more difficult game, I would use two balls or I would put two people in the
middle of the circle.
