High Level - Cloud Services Training Plan

Summary
In order for CSC to be prepared to deliver the promise of the Cloud services to our
customers, we need to make sure our respective perform organizations have the
appropriate training.

AWS training needs are broken down between pre-sales engineering,

delivery/sustainment, and application development. All requests for training are
should be addressed to the AWS Partner Alliance Training Team. The C3 site with

Amazon Web Services
Alliance
CSC is an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Consulting Partner, which is the
highest level of partnership offered by AWS. As a Premier Consulting Partner, CSC is
obligated to have a large roster of AWS certified personnel and has targets for sales
and delivery. Joshua Levine is the AWS Global Alliance Executive. Kevin Aylward is
the AWS Global Alliance Technical Executive.

It is not necessary to create an AWS account (aws.amazon.com) to pursue AWS

training or certification. If you take an AWS Instructor-Led training course you will
have access to AWS Quick-Labs which use an AWS management console simulator
to teach hands on concepts. If you use a Cloud Academy subscription for training
and exam prep you will have access to all of their hands on labs.

Certification Levels
The AWS Certification program is built around the three primary roles for
engineering teams delivering cloud-based solutions: Solutions Architect, Developer,
and SysOps Administrator. These role-based certification credentials can be earned
on advancing proficiency levels: Associate, Professional and Master. The
Professional and Master Level certifications are being rolled out in phases.

Here is a step-by-step guide on getting started on training and certification on the

Amazon AWS platform.

1. CSC is a Premier Consulting Partner, the various privileges are listed here:

2. Create an account on the Amazon Partner Network site (listed below) using
your @csc.com email account. You must register with your @csc.com e-mail
address for CSC to be credited with your accreditations and certifications.

3. Using your Amazon Partner Network login, access the partner network:

4. Now you have full access to free, self-paced training that is available here:

5. Complete one or both of the two self-paced learning and accreditation

modules below (each is @ 1 day of work). This is a great place to start and
only requires about 1 day of commitment and is free.

6. Then, explore the APN Partner e-Learning Courses available on the training
page.

AWS Certifications

Pursue certification using the steps below:

1 Obtain both the AWS Business Professional Accreditation and AWS Technical
Professional Accreditation on the APN. You will not be allowed to obtain a

 Cloud Academy subscription or register for an AWS Instructor-Led Training
course until you have obtained both free accreditations.
9. The Alliance Partner Training team has partnered with Cloud Academy
(http://cloudacademy.com) to offer AWS course, hands on labs, and exam
preparation tools for a single low subscription prices. Each region, industry,
division, or program can purchase all access, 12 month subscriptions for $360

10.Ordering process - Any CSC regions and industries can purchase C.A. access
under this Volume Purchase Discount (VPD). To receive the VPD reference

14.Cloud Academy will accept orders via credit card or P.O. The VPD is locked for
orders received in 2015. The subscription period is 1 year from date of order.

15.Classroom training is provided by Global Knowledge and co-funded by AWS.
Global Knowledge offers the full catalog of AWS courses both on-site and
online and at a variety of convenient times. Business units are encouraged to
organize classes of 10-15 students, but individual training via Global
Knowledge is available. Details on registering for the classroom training are
available the Alliance Partner Training site (https://c3.csc.com/docs/DOC-
893843). Registration for an AWS Instructor-Led Training course requires
manger approval and approval of the the Alliance Partner Training leader.
16.Those invited to attend AWS training courses will be required to sign an
agreement to pursue AWS certification within 2 months of attending the
training course. Exam fees are reimbursed per standard CSC policy.
Managers will be directed to add obtaining certification to employees KPIs for
employee ratings. Classroom training will not be provided for those not
committed to obtaining AWS certification.

Instructor-Led Training
It is important to understand that CSC and AWS sponsored training are an
investment monitored closely by both AWS and CSC. The success criteria for the
training is the number of attendees who are able to pass the associated certification
exam, usually AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate exam.

Certification Prep
After the Architecting on AWS course, the AWS Partner Manger and AWS Solution
Architects can help lead study group sessions.

Certification Exam
You must register for the AWS certification exam (links provided during the
Certification Prep sessions) using your @csc.com e-mail address to ensure that your
certification is credited to CSC. If you pursue and obtain an AWS certification on
your own using a non CSC e-mail address please forward your certification
notification to the AWS Global Alliance Technical Executive (kaylward@csc.com) so
that we can get your certification credited to CSC.
