Materials Ferrous (HR& CR sheets, Tubes) & Non ferrous (Copper, Aluminum, Brass, Phosphor
Bronze & Silver) , Cables, Wiring Harnesses, Switchgears, Transformers, Plastics & Rubber
components, CRGO Stampings, Enameled Copper Wires, Drive Systems, Seats, Metal Parts
( Tube & Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machined, Stampings) as well as Lean disciplines to
optimize inventory turns including use of milk runs, Kan Ban, VMI and JIT.
Strong technical skills with thorough knowledge of Purchasing, Read & Interpret Engineering
Drawings and multiple ERP/MRP packages including JD Edwards, One World and MAPICS. Excel
Word, Lotus Notes, Solid Works IPS, PRIMOS, UNIX, AS 400 & Windows.
Providing leadership and maintain high level of performance in carrying out the goal of the

EXPERIENCE
Sr. Purchasing Agent Husqvarna Turf Care Co, Beatrice, NE
2005- present
• Husqvarna is a world leader in outdoor power products for forestry, lawn & garden care,
cutting and diamond tools , lawn movers
• Responsible for $50 million spend for Turf Care division commodity of steel and tube raw
material, components of machined parts, sheet metal fabrication, plastic and rubber, VA
assemblies & weldment, wiring harnesses, cables, switches, drive systems and seats &
supervision of three tactical buyers.
• Achieved track record of continuous average cost reduction of 3% -5% for last four years
• Reduced the vendor base from 95 to 75 through consolidation, value added procurement
and implementation of milk run logistics, third party warehouse for imported parts and
kitting systems
• Reduced average supply lead time by two weeks, implemented weekly supplies for high
dollar spend + volume parts with 38 key vendors and established VMI with 8 vendors
resulted in Improved inventory turns from 4 to 10 turns/year
• Successfully developed LCC vendors from Mexico, Canada & Asia for main commodities &
value added parts
• Managed supplier and customer quality expectations and compliance with internal quality
policies, QS/ISO 9000, TS -16949, SQA manuals, customer specific, environmental, and
safety. Conducted commodity surveys, primarily leading all negotiation & coordination by
interviews & supplier facility visits for assessment of capacity and capability for selection
of the quality vendors that have the ability to provide long term support at the right price
& smooth supply chain.
• Actively participate in developing new products in design, provide feedback &
recommendation to Engineering &Global Commodity team to achieve cost reductions for
the product..
• Providing assistance in the resolution of discrepant material, invoice, price & necessary
guidance to operational buyers to manage the flow of goods.
