THE PATHWAY OF A COURSE IN M IRACLES : F ROM SPIRITUALITY TO M YSTICISM. This five-day Atlanta
workshop examines A Course in Miracles from the perspective of both spirituality and mysticism, highlighting the
process of forgiveness that leads us from mindlessness to mindfulness, and on to Mind. Jesus thus guides us on a
journey that undoes the ego strategy of keeping us trapped in mindless bodies so that we never return to the deci-
sion-making mind and choose again: love instead of fear, oneness in place of separation. Special topics covered
include time, scripts, Jesus, and the history of the Courses scribing and editingfrom Helen Schucmans note-
books, through the Urtext, Helens retypings, the Hugh Lynn Cayce Version, to its eventual publication. Thus the
listener has here a presentation of the full spectrum of the Courses teachingstheory and applicationas well as
a complete discussion of the process whereby A Course in Miracles assumed its final form.

I NNOCENCE LOST I NNOCENCE R EGAINED: THE O THELLO SYNDROME . The Othello Syndrome, exempli-
fied by Shakespeares tragic hero, refers to the horrific experience of believing that ones sin of destroying inno-
cence is irreversible and beyond redemption: What was done cannot be done without (M-17.8:12). All walk the
earth with the pain of guilt gnawing deep within: we exist because we stole love from our Fathers House, as did
Othello when he eloped with Desdemona without her fathers consent. Our only hope lies in recognizing all this is
a dream. Asking Jesus help means taking his hand as he leads us back to the mind where we can choose again:
innocence instead of guilt, love instead of fear.

THE G IFTS OF G OD: THE POETRY OF HELEN S CHUCMAN. This album, which replaces an earlier one on
Helens poetry (1986), presents many of Helens inspired poems in the context of their setting and their relation-
ship with A Course in Miracles and with Kenneth. Also included are many of Kenneths reminiscences of Helen,
culminating in a discussion of her death, along with a reading of her poem, Requiem. Of particular interest are
the poems that reflect Helens love-hate relationship with Jesus, as well as those written for special occasions such
as Christmas and Easter. Each of Helens poems reflects the teachings of A Course in Miracles, and thus the poetry
offers students another presentation of its message of undoing the egos guilt and hate through forgiveness and
love. The set also includes a separate reading by Kenneth of all the poems discussed in the workshop.

QUESTION & ANSWER SERVICE

Our Question and Answer Service (www.facimoutreach.org) has proven to be so popular that we have developed
a large backlog of questions awaiting answers. Therefore, for the time being, we are no longer accepting new ques-
tions. We will, however, continue the weekly answering of questions already received. We are deeply grateful to
all of you who have submitted questions, making this Web site possible.

EXCERPTS SERIES
Our latest series of excerpts is from our tape album Our Gratitude to God, a workshop presented by Kenneth in
1989 at our former location in New York. The theme is discussed in the context of our gratitude to God, Jesus, and
the Holy Spirit, and to each other. The many forms of our resistance to being grateful are considered, including our
egos resentment that God is the Creator, not itself. Our expressions of gratitude, therefore, help us undo this
original error. These excerpts can be found at the Foundations Web site at www.facim.org.

Faculty: Drs. Kenneth Wapnick, Rosemarie LoSasso, and Jeffrey Seibert
Times: 10:00 a.m. 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. 4:30 p.m.

A-9 THE CONSISTENCY OF M EANS AND E ND

Dates: October 14 16 Fee: $100.00 for entire program; $40.00 for each individual day.
A-9D1 October 14 Fee: $40.00 A-9D2 October15 Fee: $40.00 A-9D3 October 16 Fee: $40.00

ALL Academy 10 classes will be taught by Kenneth Wapnick

A-10 THE NOTHINGNESS OF SOMETHING
Dates: November 5 9 Fee: $175.00 for entire program; $40.00 for each individual day.
A-10D1 November 5 Fee: $40.00 A-10D2 November 6 Fee: $40.00 A-10D3 November 7 Fee: $40.00
A-10D4 November 8 Fee: $40.00 A-10D5 November 9 Fee: $40.00
The nothingness of the ego thought system is cleverly concealed by making itself into something: first guilt, which says that the
impossibility of separation actually occurred; next the guilt is projected, which makes the physical world. Since ideas leave not their
source, the nothingness of the egos guilt is mirrored by the nothingness of the world. It therefore makes no sense to focus on chang-
ing the bodily world of nothingness without first changing the thought that the ego is something. Only then can memory of the Every-
thing dawn on our minds. Readings and discussion will augment lecture in elaborating on this important message of the Course.

A-11 INTEGRATING FORM AND C ONTENT

Dates: December 2 4 Fee: $100.00 for entire program; $40.00 for each individual day.
A-11D1 December 2 Fee: $40.00 A-11D2 December 3 Fee: $40.00 A-11D3 December 4 Fee: $40.00
The integration of form and content parallels the Courses integration of its non-dualistic metaphysics with practical guidelines for
living in the world of illusion. Jesus teaches us that as long as we identify with the physical/psychological self we call by our name,
we need to use the worlds forms or symbolsour special relationshipsas a classroom in which we learn to recognize the exist-
ence of the decision-making mind, with power to choose the ego or the Holy Spirit as our teacher: the one emphasizing form at the
expense of content; the Other using form to change the content. Readings will supplement the integration of lecture and discussion.

2008
A-1 LOVE WITHOUT S ACRIFICE
Dates: January 13 15 Fee: $100.00 for entire program; $40.00 for each individual day.
A-1D1 January 13 Fee: $40.00 A-1D2 January 14 Fee: $40.00 A-1D3 January 15 Fee: $40.00
In special relationships, love is always sacrifice as it must be bought, which means someone must pay. Indeed, love without sacri-
fice is almost inconceivable, for our guilt precludes believing that anyone could love us unconditionally, including Jesus or God.
The classes, augmented by lecture and readings, will discuss the egos and Holy Spirits contrasting understandings of love.

A-2 THE WORLD WE WANT

Dates: February 17 19 Fee: $100.00 for entire program; $40.00 for each individual day.
A-2D1 February 17 Fee: $40.00 A-2D2 February 18 Fee: $40.00 A-2D3 February 19 Fee: $40.00
Since we have split minds, there are two worlds that we want: the world of separation, attack, and suffering; or the world of for-
giveness, peace, and healing. The one reinforces our existence in the dream, while the other gently awakens us to our reality as
Christ. Lecture, readings, and discussion will combine to address our attraction to these mutually exclusive worlds.

ALL Academy 3 classes will be taught by Kenneth Wapnick

A-3 T HE G RAB B AG OF G UILT
Dates: March 10 14 Fee: $175.00 for entire program; $40.00 for each individual day.
A-3D1 March 10 Fee: $40.00 A-3D2 March 11 Fee: $40.00 A-3D3 March 12 Fee: $40.00
A-3D4 March 13 Fee: $40.00 A-3D5 March 14 Fee: $40.00
We walk this earth with a bag of guilt, which we fill with grievances just waiting to be called upon as witnesses to our innocent
selves and sinful brothers. The problem, therefore, is never the specific form of upset we pick, but the fact that we have chosen to go
to the grab bag in the first place. Forgiveness thus does not correct these specifics, but undoes our need for themthe class theme.
