150th Celebration
In 2018, Pleasant Point will celebrate 150 years of public education, from the first classroom and
school-house in 1868 to the present day.
Following on from the very successful 125 th Anniversary in 1993, discussion is now beginning
regarding how to mark this significant community milestone. A tentative date of Labour
Weekend 2018 has been suggested as a possible time to gather past and present pupils, staff and
community members together to catch up on times past, memories shared, and dreams for the
future.
If you are interested in being involved in planning for this event, you are warmly invited to a
public meeting at Pleasant Point Primary School on Thursday 30 th March 2017 at 7.00pm.

The second issue of our lucky book club has come home this week. If
