contact for a distressed
student and cover the role of
a Matron or Mentor

The Behaviour Manager

often mediates between
friendship groups and
emotional and physical
conflicts.
Conflict Resolution

Conflict resolution is a practice that assists in

identifying conflict, solutions and implementation
of these solutions.
This is a continued mediation facility with a new
twist which will feed into restorative justice
Pupils can be referred or self refer
All attendees shall be noted and form tutors
communicated with and invited to assist in
resolution
Restorative Justice

This is implemented when an incident has already occurred

This doesnt necessarily have to be between students only but can be
used to restore a relationship between a class and their teacher
This again, is minuted and fed back to students and parents.
Shoulder to cry on..

Students can come to the pastoral centre at any time if they are
experiencing distress or need to talk to someone in private.
We are usually the first to know if there has been a bereavement.
And Finally..

This department is constantly evolving

Other schools have expressed envy that they do
not have this resource
We will endeavour to uphold the school mission
statement using our best efforts to achieve
excellence within the context of our faith journey
within the pastoral department
We want to be proactive and feel that working
closely with yourselves we can continue to be a
successful and strong pastoral team
