 Differentiation Strategies
For Teachers
You may decide to have students draw each rectangle on the
grid paper provided, color it, glue the icon in the center, and
cut it out. Then students can manipulate their rectangles on
a new sheet of grid paper. Students can glue their rectangles
onto their new grid paper once they have found the best
position for all of their rectangles.

You may also decide to let your students manipulate square

math tiles in order to find the lengths and widths of the
rectangles prior to drawing them on their grid paper. This may
be particularly helpful for those students completing the level
2 area and perimeter activities.
