Write your comments about education in Finland

Education in Finland is the best in the world. I think because of their principle in
education. They emphasize more in making the good public school for everyone.
There are no homework and the time lesson is less than others country which is
about 3 hours per day. In my perspective that decision is good because in Malaysia,
the students receive lots of pressure in school and at home. Why? It is due to the
competitive environment, those who have no talent in academic will always feel
pressure in school and that is one of the reason for them not happy to attend the
school. Meanwhile in Finland, they focus on to make the student feel happy by
letting them explore, play, having time with family and socialize with their friends.
Instead of giving students homework, teacher in Finland will let their students to
play and climb the tree and asking them what have they found. There are no
pressures in this situation, it is good method for educating the children especially.
From that, the students will learn how to think and explore themselves better. Plus,
their brain will become more relax because there are no pressures. Another thought
of Finland education that I like is the standardize test is not good. Yes, I am agreed
with that statement because everyone have their own talent or ability and it is
varied. In Finland, the students free to choose what they want to learn, while other
country such as Malaysia, they standardize the scope of learning. Malaysian
students should take all the standard subjects and need to sit on the standard
exam. Those students who obey and follow the competitive environment have high
probability to be a robot. The school also will kill their creative thinking and the
students will feel trauma to express their thinking. Besides that, every school in
Finland has a student welfare team comprised of the principal, special education
teacher, school nurse and psychologist and classroom teacher. I really hope that
Malaysias school also has the student welfare. By establishing the student welfare,
the load in handling misbehave students or students who have problem in learning
can be reduce. If there a team to solve one problem, the solutions will be more
effective because it came from brainstorming from more than one brains. The
problem will be solved easily if those who expert in that field solving the problem.
For example, if the students have problem in learning it might be due to the
cognitive development or family conflict. So, it will be more effective if there are
psychologist who diagnose the problem.
