1. Louis presented his Powerpoint on medieval England, his family's origins and
the long lasting effects of the Middle Ages. (10 minutes)

2. Students watched a Youtube video "25 reasons youll be glad you didnt live in
medieval times" with the language assistant (LA) asking students for their opinion on
each point. After the video the students disscussed the topic in small groups. (20
minutes)

3. The LA introduced new vocbulary regarding the fuedal system in England, this
included verbs,nouns and adjectives. The LA and the students read through the text
together and he consulted them on any vocabulary or pronounciation they did not
understand. (10 minutes)

4. The class was split up into small groups of four students whom disscussed the
Seqncia following questions:

(pas a pas) What do you know about life in your country during the Middle Ages?
Who ruled the country?
Where were the most important towns and cities?
Were there any wars or other important events?

What were people's houses, clothes and lifestyles like?


What food did they eat?

(10 minutes)

5. The LA prepared a game, commonly known in England as Top Trumps. This game
allowed the students to practice the new vocabulary they have previously learnt. They
were also given the opportunity to revise their knowledge of history, thus incoporating
CLIL ( 10 minutes)

Timing is approximate

The whole of 2nd Eso ( 2A,2B,2C,2D) were enthuastic about the activty as they were
allowed to dress up and create a medieval atomosphere throughout the school.
Valoraci
The students were pleased to learn new vocabulary through tradtional methods as well
as the video and game.
