TNPSC Executive Officer Exam Pattern

The written examination going to be arranged by TNPSC contains two papers. Paper-I will be
conducted in the morning session with questions from General Studies, Aptitude & Mental
Ability and one optional subject i.e. General Tamil/ General English. Paper-II exam is in the
afternoon section, comprise of questions from Hindu Religion and Saivism & Vaishnavism. The
time span allotted for each paper is 3 hours and the maximum mark is 300.

TNPSC Executive Officer Exam Syllabus 2016
OMR sheets will be distributed in the exam centers for ticking right answer. Objective type
multiple choice questions would be asked from the syllabus topics given below. The General
Studies section will be in English and Tamil format. For all other topics (including paper-II),
based on respective languages questions will be set.

The minimum qualifying marks in this exam is 204 for SC/ SCA/ MBC/ DC/ BC/ ST category
contestants and for all other community 272 is the minimum pass marks.
Oral Test of TNPSC Executive Officer Posts
Individuals scoring Leading marks in this examination will be invited for the Oral Test, which is
in the form of Personal Interview. Certificate verification would also be done on the interview
date. Depending upon the merit marks in Written Exam (two papers) and Oral Test, right persons
will be chosen for the TNPSC Executive Officer posts.
