Greetings from NPTI-SR, Neyveli.

National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is an apex body under Ministry of

Power, Govt. of India imparting training on Operation & Maintenance of Thermal
Power Station, Power system operation, Advanced Technology in Power System etc.
with its headquarters at Faridabad (Haryana) and having regional institutes at
Badarpur, Durgapur, Nagpur, Neyveli & Bangalore, Nangal and Gawahati for the
serving personnel of various power utilities of Government as well as private
organizations.

Besides these programs, we are conducting one year Post-Graduate Diploma

Course in Thermal power Plant engineering for fresh Graduate Engineers and one year
Post-Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering for the fresh Diploma
holders of Mechanical and Electrical and Electronics disciplines. These courses are
meeting the mandatory requirements of Indian Electricity (Amendment) Act, 1981.

As per direction of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, NPTI is planning to

conduct one day skill development training program on Energy Conservation and
Electrical Safety for the Engineering College students for their skill development.
By attending this program, the students can develop their Energy Conservation and
Electrical Safety skills in Power Sector.

Terms and conditions to conduct skill development programs are furnished

below:

1. The program fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred only) per participant for
one day is to be paid in advance by means of an account payee demand draft
drawn in favour of National Power Training Institute, Neyveli payable at
Bazaar Branch, Neyveli-3 along with list of students who will be attending the
said program.
2. As NPTI is covered under the provisions laid down under section 10(23c)
(iiiab) of the Income-Tax Act, 1961, no Income-Tax to be deducted on any
payment being made to NPTI.
3. The participants will be given course material, writing pad, pen, etc.
4. The minimum number of participants to attend this program is 300
5. Certificates will be issued within 15 working days from the date of completion
of the program.
6. The lecture will be delivered by the faculty through power point presentation
and each session of about 21/2 hrs duration with 20 minutes tea break.
7. The College should arrange seminar/conference hall with capacity minimum of
300, Public address System (PAS) with collar mic, Desktop with LCD
projection system.
8. During the program, one/two faculty members from NPTI will be delivering
lectures in their respective areas.
9. All the branches can attend the skill development program
10. Industry/syllabus oriented tailor made/customized skill development program
also could be conducted after mutual discussion, if any.
We hope your engineering college may also utilize the above said Skill
development program facility for your students so that they can develop their Energy
Conservation and Safety skill in Power Sector which will be very useful for their
career.
It is requested that your willingness, date and number of participants likely to
participate in the skill development program may be intimated at an early date so as to
make necessary arrangements at our end. The date for conducting program may be
decided on mutual discussion.
